Almost 2 weeks since that statement

 

Funny how everyone seems to focus on the word imminently and ignores the word hope.

 

I’ve gone full circle and totally relaxed about it now, maybes I’ve just lost all energy to be irritated by something I can’t control, still hopeful of positive news this week

 

Why would they? doesn't fit certain peoples agendas

And tries to apply a time limit to 'imminently', which is deliberately vague. I mean, in geological terms, something that's going to happen in two weeks is definitely imminent.

 

In Business 1 month is Very imminent

 

Hope is a problem in my opinion. He needs to have more than hope we are close, in his position, or something is wrong.

 

I still feel we could be missing a golden chance here. Imagine we had a chance to sign Clough - which we did at one time - but we didn’t , and regretted not giving him his chance. I was one of the few wanting him here when he was at Hartlepool. I have the same feeling about Kevin Phillips. Would a temporary contract to Xmas really be a disaster? No matter what coach we get in, promotion is not nailed on. Could Phillips be the next Clough? In my opinion certainly worth considering. The way things are going what have we to lose?

 

I’ve read the anecdotes about him, the ‘crawling on broken glass etc etc’ but I’m not sure if he really did want to be our manager. I am only 57 mind so happy to be corrected.

 

I'd guess the presentation would be along similar lines to Father Ted's Chinese cultural awareness presentation.
