Well, listen - you've got your point, and I've got mine. I'll argue till I'm blue in the face that agreeing to invade a country from one side with your army, whilst the country you signed a treaty with the month before invades that country as well from the other side, then that is a military alliance. But here is the point that I'll state again - the Russians, with the longest borders in the world, have a history of justifying their imperialism (be it Tsarist or Soviet) by invading their neighbours and making alliances with any monster that gives them an advantage. Nowt wrong with that - they're defending their national interest: just wish they could whine a little less about how the whole world is against them and they're always on the ****ing side of the angels.
