Sensational mate. Given up trying to actually make your point and go personal instead. Classic deflection away from the actual point. 120 days with no permanent manager, anyone can see that is an issue. Its dragging on and on and that isn't good enough. You'll stick to your guns, fair enough. I think you're overwhelmingly in the minority on this one though.
Should we a bit worried that we've heard nothing from the club about Chris rigg, the contract should've been sorted way before now and just ready to sign today
Respectfully, you and I will have to agree to disagree. This whole debacle is utterly unprofessional. You can flower it up and make excuses all you want, but no-one will ever convince me that this has been anything else but a total f uck up. I sincerely hope they appoint the right guy, as a supporter of the club all I want is the best for SAFC
You think the market is static and there are no external factors that influence a Coach’s availability and interest in a job? Wow
So what happens if they appoint someone you like ... ... will you still insist you're not convinced just to prove yourself right?
Regardless what the market is like ( I assume you're not involved in football recruitment and therefore know as much as I do) 120 days....yes 120 days...not 45 is long enough to research, interview and appoint a first team coach for a mid table 2nd tier football club. We are not a special case. The amount of countries where football id played, you're actually telling me there is not 1 manager that we could have appointed in that time frame. The amount of money we spunk on agents, I'm pretty sure we must have collated the names and stats on a few potentials.....but as I said below, with our approach on this role, looks like not.
Read the bottom of that post, of course I hope they appoint the right guy, I am Sunderland fan, But this will never disguise how botched this process has been. They have admitted this in the brief statement from last week....well they admitted they have made mistakes. I'm really not sure why you constantly defend this situation, to me, its been shambolic.
My view is nobody will convince me this has been an effective recruitment process where they got their man in an efficient and well organised manner. Simply due to the time they have taken. Whether we get the right coach is another topic in my opinion. I still say the process they had before Neil was appointed was a shambles that could have cost us. Then they ended up with a good coach in the end. Hope we have the same outcome here, but they need to focus some attention on how they go about this part of their jobs. For me anyway.
At least one more Championship club will lose their manager before the season starts ... ... and the amount of days will be irrelevant.
A lot of excuses for Speakman and KLD here. A good owner and DOF would get it over the line when they’re close. Ours seem incapable and there’s always an excuse ‘someone else turned their head’ etc.
I don't give a s hit about other clubs... its all about Sunderland for me. What others do is totally irrelevant
