I'd hate to think how your kids turned out if that's the sort of party you used to throw for them <laugh>

Fairly uninspiring games on paper today. Yes I will still watch them all.

very much what Hammersmith said. Crying out for a substitution to be made (Saka for me). We'll never fulfill our potential with Southgate in charge

After a decent first 30 minutes I agree we were unimpressive. From my admittedly QPR bias I'd like to have seen Eze come on for Foden last night. Foden wasnt contributing too much. Neither were one or two others. Alexander-Arnold didn't convince me in that midfield 2. I'd prefer Bellingham filled that role alongside Rice, he could still make those runs from there like the one he scored from, and this would allow Southgate to use more of the attacking strengths he has in his squad in that attack minded midfield 3. Eze and also one of Palmer, Foden and Gordon alongside Saka or Bowen. Kane had a quiet game apart from his well saved header onto the bar, but he won't be left out with his goal scoring record.

Nice glass of red and turn telly on to see Belgium go a goal down to Slovakia. The inevitability of Belgium disappointing at an international tournament is somehow comforting.

Trying to work out how Lukaku has amassed 85 international goals. If his shot to goal ratio was better it would be 170.

Brilliant Slovakia. Sadly because of the stupid format they will now only have to play for a draw in one of their two remaining games.

10 minutes played and it's all a bit frantic..... Austria playing a high press and the ball pinging around without real control..... Mbappe had one chance saved by keeper.....

Mbappe is obviously a great player but to talk him up for a cross which an idiot headed in for an own goal is a bit much.

I like the nuts Austrian style.
