At least £34million. Boring is a good characteristic for a goalkeeper.

Rather go back-up for Pope and spend it elsewhere, unless money isn't an issue.

Im plenty wrong but think this approach is a mistake. Trafford is a run of the mill keeper and pope suffered a serious injury.

He’s actually not even done any better than Woodman. It’s a huge risk in my opinion

It could well be the wrong decision and, if we had loads of money available, I would have no hesitation going with a better option.

Just think that Pope is not going to want to play 2nd fiddle to a new guy and the new guy definitely isn't and rotating them is not a sensible option with goalkeepers. So we either make a decision that Pope is done, and look to sell him, then bring in an upgrade or do what we are doing.

Sure, not obtuse to that, just there’s probably 5-6 players in and around England u-21s almost as good, at a fraction of the price. £20m for another sub that Howe would have no interest in playing is just daft.

As I said, you upgrade the first team and add youth whenever you can. I’d go in for the Valencia keeper, £35m for a team claiming to want to be top 4 regulars is nothing, when amoritised. He’s young and has a lot about him. Trafford is clearly nothing special. Then pope is backup. That’s a top 4 teams attitude.

Apparently it was NUFC who turned down a £25million offer for Almiron back in January, rather than Almiron himself, due to the injury crisis. The club that made the bid are about to offer the same amount this summer, according to reports.

Must be a Saudi club. However I have also read that if Olise goes to Chelsea Palace want Miggy as the replacement.
