You don't need a head coach to tell him any of that, he will have a personal programme already. This training he is doing himself, a lot more of players do this sort of thing now before preseason starts.
The problem with this never ending search for a first team coach is… if the appointment KLD and KS make goes tits-up then there is truly no way back for them. They’ve took their time to get the “.right” guy ( their words) so whoever it will be needs to hit the ground running. No excuses
It's good enough to finish mid table, I have zero relegation fears unless something breaks the spirit in the dressing room.
Might be a good thing, as they’ll know this, so hopefully they back the new head coach in the transfer market. Can’t afford not to as our current squad was on course for relegation last season. Failure to spend this summer and we’ll go down.
What makes you say that? Because based on the last 6 months, we’re 23rd in the form table. We’re very much not a mid table team currently.
And even then, we might struggle. Clarke got 15 odd goals last season, and we still only just survived. We need more than just one goal scorer.
Even if Clarke stays (he'll be going of course) our tactics have been so obviously pass to Clarke and hope he produces some magic. You simply cannot rely on that week after week. You need to be creating tap ins and the odd bit of magic supplements that.
You don't need a head coach to tell a player what he wants from him? I mean, if we had a recognizable and consistent style, maybe that would be a good point. It seems like continuity is a word like imminent to the club in that they have no idea what either one means.
And we would have finished nowhere near where we did if we had left TM in charge. The squad needs improving but is lot better than where we finished
There are a myriad of reasons why our form tailed off last season, also it was February to May - 15 games over a 3 month period where our form dropped off. That is such a small sample size - even Beale had us 6th in the league before we hit a brick wall. Up to and including the Plymouth game, we averaged 1.5 points per game over the previous 77 games. The last 15 games of the season saw us average 0.6 points per game and whilst that is a clear downturn it doesn't automatically mean we are in a relegation battle next season. Far from it IMHO
What are you going on about, I'm talking about you don't need a head coach to tell a player about fitness levels preseason
Controversial opinion, but Beale would have had us higher up than Dodds did. The players completely gave up for the last 15 games of the season
