He'll likely be too much money anyway, unless we decide to leave properly strengthening striker and RCB options this summer. Madueke for half the price or Williams for £20m less and we hopefully still have the the budget to do something in those other positions.
So Olise minimum 60m likely going to be 70m. Chiesa is available for 40m. Williams had a release clause of 45m. Who would you guys choose?
Yes... I was reading a few responses saying this means we've got 60 million to just buy someone else, but the reality is different. The club think 60 million is value for money but they might not see value in other players for that position. It's not that they've got 60 million and are desperate to spend it on other players.
Possibly so, but it doesn't change the fact that ffp limitations will still be squatting over the transfer window.
The need to sell a few players and wait around until the big clubs have taken what they want. It's nice they try, but unfortunately unless every big club in England and across Europe doesn't have the coin or just isn't interested in one of Newcastles targets they'll not end up here.
We offered 50 I believe must have been close... 80 million is what we were asked for apparently... they then bought Tonali instead I think. Italy prices are less than here.
