Someone fairly credible says otherwise this week

 

KLD was only involved in the deal for Still and that was nothing to do with Speakman?

Now that's gone he has left the coach search to Speakman to sort out?

Is that what's being said? Because that reads terribly

Saying that I was told a few weeks back KLD had taken charge of it as he wasn't impressed.

 

From bobs messages it looks like KLD ran the show for Still's recruitment then handed back to Speakman. I'm not happy if this is true.

 

There is a rumour going around re that but not sure where it's come from. It's not what I have heard anyway.

So it was either KLD in the first instance who found it hard or it was KS and KLD thought what a **** show this is and got involved? I’m torn

I never understood stuff like this:

"Keane is monitoring the situation and would be keen on the role if the opportunity presented itself."

He's obviously not monitoring closely enough, the opportunity has been there for a while now, just needs to stick his application in.

 

If it’s true about the KLD/Still interview I’d be looking for another job if I was KS. He either thought it would be easy and wanted the ‘glory’ or thought KS wasn’t up to the job.
I’d be thinking **** you and I’d find somewhere better and drop them in it.

 

I was hoping KLD was removing him after the Mowbray/Beale debacle

 

I think there was credit in the bank if I’m being honest mate, but if it’s true he is the sticking point then he should be gone.
Remember this is all scenarios we don’t really know the truth about.

 

Stepping in to make the decision to appoint Still, failing to appoint Still and then putting the task back onto Speakman who you clearly didn't trust to make the appointment in the first place is a horrid way to run a football club.

I've hammered Speakman recently and he takes a large portion of the blame here but I feel a bit sorry for him if I'm completely honest, he isn't being allowed to do his job. Should've been removed in May or allowed to do his job to the fullest extent, not half of it.

 

I think I'm probably the minority but I think keane would be decent

 

I agree with all of that mate.

 

Wouldn't be my first choice but I wouldn't grumble at him at all.
