I agree mate they didn't like the suggestion he was English and started trying to find reasons to ignore that fact....they seem to want him to not be English despite the fact he is.

Howe doesn't eulogise too often, so that is high praise I guess, let's hope we're all ****ing ourselves off as vociferously as he was. I assume he's clean and match fit now.
Well, Howe doesn't likely identify players, conduct further scouting, initiate contact with players current club, initiate discussions with players agency team, negotiate fee and sign all relevant paperwork on his own, so his use of'we' in the pursuit of a player is just accurate use of English. The 'I' part is what is interesting. Howe claiming in no uncertain terms who drove the signing of Tonali - he himself.
He has a say that's nothing new .. what we won't know is who he's said no to in favour of his picks. The likes of Pope Burn etc are his for sure.... it's gone well but it's not produced a single find.
