Bristol City call on Celtic, Rangers, Wolves target shows they've learnt from past mistakes: View Bristol City's decision to listen to offers for their star player proves that they have learnt from previous transfer errors. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/bristol-city-call-on-celtic-wolves-rangers-mistakes-tommy-conway/ Really sorry Tommy is possibly leaving but it is his decision not to sign, no player is bigger than the club and it's right we seek a fair valuation for him. Correct and sensible decision by our club.
HOW WOULD YOU GO ABOUT changing the catastrophes we have with players going for next to nothing then? then to replace them it costs almost what we could have got for them had we not lost them for peanuts? ps wont hold my breath for answer still waiting on 6 previous ones
For one I would not put the club at risk with another 20k a week for him. For 4 years plus one year equalling 5.2 million. For two I would not consider paying a £5 million signing on fee. You’ve just blown all the available cash for a player that does not play full games and sometimes sub. As to your other 6 questions, maybe they were just not worth wasting my time replying because they were stupid questions. Feel free to find them and I will try and answer them.
signing on fee? I wouldnt ever condone a fee for signing on to be that high. What we dont know is how many free agents we sign or other clubs, what the terms of the contract is ! do we pay a signing on fee for "out of contract/ free transfer? players. We certainly get stuffed by the agents fee's ............
TC9 @TransferCentre9 Bristol City have agreed a fee of around £500k to sign English wonderkid Karamoko Demebele from French side Stade Brestois. The winger got 21 G/A in League One for Blackpool last season and has attracted interest from a number of clubs over Europe. Contract talks to open now, Dembele to be offered a four year deal. #blackpoolfc#bristolcity#lamareerouge please log in to view this image
Another Massengo I fear? It all sounds lubbly jubbly when you hear superstar and all the hype in the world tells me to be aware as after all he was at Blackpool last season and can't remember hearing his name often.
“A Nigel Pearson signing” - Double Bristol City transfer prediction made ahead of summer window Bristol City are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window, and fan pundit Tom is predicting changes up top. https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/d...nsfer-prediction-made-ahead-of-summer-window/
£700k wasted on Cornick, as it’s unlikely we will see much, if any return on that investment. I had hoped those days were behind us…. At a time when we had no money, this smarts more than anything before it!
A lot of words in this article but very little actual facts and what is there basically skirts around a lot of huff and puff. Mentioning Scottish teams like Motherwell rarely set my Bristol City heart afire as our record with players from north of the border isn't exactly stellar, with the odd possibility for a mention. Another mention was yet another player that we have loaned out somewhere possibly making a return to Ashton Gate, but I think we have those types in abundance and if they do turn out good then we sell them - so what's the point? I will accept that our task in improving the fortunes is a forbidding project and, unless we have learned from our lousy past in assessing the needs and addressing them correctly, we are probably going to fail again. There is nothing about Bristol City over the last 10-15 years that gives me any confidence that this time we will get it right and regrettably that has to be all down to the Lansdowns and their inability to let go of some of the control over footballing operations. Only time will tell whether or not the shackles have been loosened.

We need players rather than off-field staff to help the players we don't have. All of the off-season hype so far has been manipulated to make us look like the forward thinking club that we are not and all I want to hear is which significant signings have we made and not tittle-tattle nonsense. It really is starting to look like the usual City off-season with little or no substance to the press releases up till now.
