It's not doing any harm. Take it or leave it.
    It's been amusing in parts.
If it gets out of hand, then bin it.

I was going to suggest if it offends then don’t post - but I thought that might come across as inflammatory!

Basically Sparkey it’s in your hands. I won’t be offended - I’m only a guest over here anyway and I appreciate being allowed to post stuff occasionally <cheers>

You're a very welcome guest as well. I've always appreciated your input over here.

Nothing I've said on this reflects upon you, but some think the thread subject to be divisive and unnecessary on a football forum.

Must say I tend to agree but I'm just a guy charged with keeping this forum spinning smoothly.

I'll take note of all opinions before pushing any buttons - a bit like the "jck debate"...........<laugh>

That's probably the most offensive post on the thread.
I don't want to be reading about jck debating.<yikes>

That's not a debate where you have differing opinions about a subject - everyone agrees.........<laugh><laugh>

That could be suggestive of a racial slur.

Daily Fail reports 17 new or increased taxes if the Commies, sorry Labour, get in.

Some clearly made up but it gives an indication as to what Beer Khorma will hit us with.

I don't know how the Tories would fund their manifesto proposals but unlikely to be as draconian as Labour.

We are in such a feckin' mess.

Also read about the 17 tax penalties coming our way. What will be the point of prudent saving for retirement and/death and/or the children if it’s all going to be snaffled by that champagne socialist Reeves to fund her big state green utopia?

Yep let's look after the immigrants, permanent dole claimers (workshy sponges) and plant lots more trees to hug.

And screw all those who have worked all their lives, saved, put money aside for later life care and want their children's lives to be secure in the future.

I never liked her when she first got media exposure a couple of years ago. She is proving me right more each day.

Of course the Fail can be relied upon as a source!
Tax and spend done correctly makes everyone's life better......Germany and the Scandinavians show that.

If sparkey was worried about this thread, he should see the election thread on the salmon fishing forum I frequent.
Some of the politics they are discussing I don't even understand. And it's getting very personal on occasion.
He'd have shut it down before it started.
Suffice to say, I haven't commented on their thread, just observing from a safe distance.
Some of it quite educational though.

Two topics to generally be avoided if you don't want fights breaking out....

    Politics and Religion.....

I'm just happy that us few on here can see that whatever your beliefs, it's nothing personal or intended to offend when opinions are shared (ok, I accept there is perhaps one individual that could do with educating) and we all recognise that occasionally you do just have to retire from a debate and agree to disagree.... Just shake each others hands and say good luck with your views.

Such a civilised bunch <cheers> (yep, even Masky).

    Exactly.

I'm right in the middle of a relaxing two week break - one week gone, one week to go. I'm popping in here when I can to see how you lot are getting on......<laugh>

I'm not looking in to police the input - posters can post what they want within the forum rules. Just trying to ensure World War 3 doesn't break out over other issues on what is essentially a football forum. Unfortunately, the lack of club football in the summer break tends to attract all sorts of other subjects, some of which can be more contentious.

Anyone with a beef about that just post it on here or PM me - no problem at all.

BTW, not spotted any swallows in Hughenden Park yet - probably a bit cold.

No doubt the blue tits are getting in the way and you should try to be a bit more swift.
