Honestly thought his corner should have got him out of there last round or even before... He took so much punishment. Granite chin
I’ve always liked Wilder, obviously not the best boxer but find him entertaining and with his power makes his fights unpredictable
I was always amazed that such a little guy was a great rugby league player. He always looked like he was one of the mascots. RIP Big Man.
Watching the RFU Premier League final and Bath are putting up a great fight since having a player red carded in the 22nd minute. Currently 18-18 with Bath dominating. 66th minute.
Seems we’re back to spectacular crap strategy from Ferrari. They’ve not been great all weekend, but sending them out on used tyres like that takes the biscuit.
They took a chance and went out on new tyres at the beginning of Q2 . They thought it was going to rain . they did have 1 set each of new tyres , but they must keep a new set for Q3 .
Yeah, was going by what the commentators suggested, but just saw the interview with Fred. They've been horrible this weekend so far, but as Fred said "it's an up and down season, and some weekends you just don't get it right".
Random one and can't remember seeing it discussed here before: but does anyone follow baseball? Have been watching some MLB in this gap without football and with the NFL season months away and NBA season wrapping up, it's growing on me. Suppose the real test will be when it overlaps with other action... starting with the Euros and Copa America!
Did the BBC watch a different fight to me? This is copied from their piece today about Fury being back in the gym. Former WBC champion Fury was winning the fight before he was caught by Usyk in the ninth round. Fury recovered but the knockdown was enough to convince two of the three judges that Usyk had narrowly won. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/c988djvxjwzo
Wow. Could they be anymore biased?! Fury was outfought and outclassed by Usyk. Everyone knows this apart from the BBC it seems.
Me too actually! That was my first experience of in-person MLB. Amazing end to the Sunday game (unless the Phillies are your team?) Still trying to work out who to root for, but I quite like having a regional approach based on my other US sports teams. Means you get some nice overlap with locals in the same position and have people to talk multiple sports with. I root for the Colts and the Pacers in NFL + NBA and checked who their fanbases follow, given there’s no MLB team in the state Indiana baseball fans seem to split between the Cubs (a lot), the Reds (also a lot), the Cardinals (a sizeable amount) and a small number who are going with the Guardians or Tigers I think I lean to the Reds as I can’t make myself want to cheer for the Cubs
Baseball's my oldest love as a sports fan. The advantage is that there's so much baseball that you can miss a fair bit of it along the way; I have gotten to see very few games this season as my free time has been roughly nonexistent, but there's still almost 100 games per team to go!
