No problem mate, I was dying to spill the beans tbh, you were just the excuse It was the same when I was told, by one of the Dell associates, that they were buying the club. Being a fanatical Sunderland supporter I thought that meant the process was irreversible ... ... then Donald decided to use his immense business acumen and squeeze the billionaires for a bit more
I wonder how far a Sporting Director's responsibilities go SAFC's official Twitter page has been non-stop winding up fans. Nobody seems to have the authority to tell them to lay off for a while or give a PowerPoint presentation on learning to read the room. https://x.com/SunderlandAFC/status/1800894574530867543?t=FvQ7Zv6ECz9ZQP5kRs6eXg&s=19
Strangely, everyone is after Burnley. Must want a parachute to cling to as they fall down the pecking order!
Few talking about you otr... An attention seeking middle aged man who makes up stories to pretend he has important friends inside the club. I'd take the middle aged bit as a complement
This is a superb post, perfectly encapsulates my feelings towards the situation. It's a strange paradox in a way that I feel their attempts to be ambitious are actually costing us our ambitions because they are not capable of executing. Something is misaligned. All of the realistic coaches mentioned show that the clubs is ambitious in their targets. But something in their strategy or finances is preventing us from achieving those targets. Perhaps a better strategy would have been to set their sights lower (within their financial range). Aiming too high might be the thing that results in a difficult season.
They've obviously seen a recent photo Did any of the losers claim I'm an art dealer or mention a monorail and a new club badge ... ... in the desperate hope that endless repetition constitutes cutting humour
Must be mate, sad when people are so obsessed after all these years. The art dealer was a chap called Ben Brown who Glenn Fuhrman goes to Chelsea games with. He showed me text messages, on his phone, from Fuhrman saying he was buying Sunderland. Why would I have any reason to doubt it ... ... it's not like a millionaire art dealer would make that up to impress the likes of me
Hopefully Marti mate. We've been working on this deal for a week https://www.not606.com/threads/new-head-coach.409817/page-1018#post-17599778
You're right but personally I've ruled Maric out on the basis of him having no experience whatsoever. I think that's a risk too far for us at this point. Rohl and Cifuentes both great candidates. I think they're generally quite similar although happy to be contradicted seeing as I know very little about them beyond their surface level achievements.
I obviously don't know how you know and I no longer know anyone at the club ... ... but I was told by an RTG lad who's always been sound, he doesn't post anything because he's indirectly paid by SAFC. I personally think he just likes avoiding all the flak he'd get on there
I do remember the post and it seems the same, strange to edit it now though ... ... sure he'll explain. Cifuentes is now the bookies favourite. They seem to be moving people like Lampard up, to tempt people, when there's no chance he'd move to Sunderlamd.
