cheers...KLD has football in his blood basically, he will make mistakes but show me one owner(s) that never has, the important thing is that he shows he is learning and this could be the time to show it.

If this is true from Tuesday, and I can't swear to it, I'd say the club have done/are doing things better than some might think.

Still shares a big part of the blame imo, he knew the set up before any of this started.

If he’s the man they believe can take the club forward, then it’s a bargain for under £1m. We could easily waste that on a gamble of a young player who may or not make it, whereas a half decent manager could easily transform the whole squad into promotion challengers.

He's usually worth listening to ...

... I wonder if it's to say the club isn't actually for sale, it isn't.

Honestly...if we manage to get Cifuentes for under 1m then that's a huge bargain.
    Ha'way man Sundland!

I’m frustrated at how long it’s taken and the club deserve criticism for that but I don’t buy the model is to blame and we’re scraping the barrell.

We could still come out with a good choice or worst case a steady if uninspiring choice. We don’t know who’s currently in the frame but we can confidently say Still and Jansen have been targets , both of which are ambitious appointments. Our ability to get them over the line is the issue but in both cases they have gone to big clubs in others leagues.

I think Cifuentes would be a good option and, although he wouldn’t be my choice, Heckingbottom would be a safe and steady choice. Arguably similar to Mowbray and an upgrade on Beale. Lampard is the one name linked and not denied that worries me the most. He was poor at Derby and scraped in the playoffs with a top 2 squad.

I want someone who follows a similar style of football to Mowbay and who is suited to the squad we have, hence why Heck wouldn’t be my choice. I think Cifuentes could be that guy. I’d also consider Jokanovich (ex Watford, Fulham & Sheff Utd). 2 promotions from the Championship with two different clubs, great football, multi-lingual and develops players.

Cifuentes would be great, the same as Rohl maybe even better, however I don’t see why he would come

Tomorrow the tfr window opens. And the Euros start.

Are those who keep saying there is no rush and we can wait are still of that opinion? We are already far too late.

Beginning to feel like we have Nero in charge.

I am sure people at the club are working hard. But at this stage I find it impossible to imagine how they are working effectively. They have either identified candidates that are above their ability to attract, or not been prepared to give credible coaches what they need to do the job they want to be able to do.

I have no doubt the club want the premier league. They seem completely unaware of what is needed to get there at this stage however. Or those telling them what is needed are cast aside as idiots. This started last summer. The tfrs made, to build on a side close to promotion, were awful. Mowbray knew it, and paid with his job. The players were simply not up to the job. They may well have needed to sack him, if he was grumbling too much, but they failed in their responsibilities to replace him, and decided to have a snooze after sacking Beale. Where we find ourselves now is frankly unfathomable. It smacks of a complete lack of experience and know how in the club.

They can keep going about this process and eventually somebody will say yes. Maybe they get lucky and he turns out to be perfect. There are bright coaches in this country who would come here. Somebody earlier mentioned Evatt who would be a good fit. Or they change what and how they are doing things to get someone they actually want, assuming that ship hasnt sailed. Bite the bullet, and get Rosenior.

As it stands we are being put on the back foot for the coming season. And it may well be a period we look back on as a what might have been. If, as I think, this is a pivotal time for KLD plan, we appear to be on the wrong end of it so far.

We're spectators mate ... waiting is all we can do.

Seriously, how many times can all these Mowbray, Pritchard, Alex Neil stories be repeated ...

... it's more Groundhog Day than the managerial Groundhog Day <laugh>

The announcement will be that we’ll have a look again after the Euros. Busy time and they don’t think they’ll get much done during the group stage at least.

Cifuentes, £1m compensation. 3 year contract.

    £333,333 per year deplete-able value.

    Approx 33,000 seasons ticket holders.

Let's say he gets sacked a year in, to the loss of £665,000, if we have 33,000 season ticket holders that's an additional charge of £20 each on your bank details.

I rate Rohl as much as I do Cifuentes.
That's a massive compliment to Cifuentes!
