Nobody with any real experience of British football will want to work in this set up.

 

People elsewhere say he’s hard work and news will travel. You may be right but if a kids coach at Burnley FC says it’s not good. Mowbray and Slaven probably did us no favours but nor did the fall out. Of course even that may not be on Speakman of course, I’m sure it’s on both, but the damage may have been done.

 

I've kept off it because there are too many RTG style clowns entertaining themselves without adding to any discussion.

There are better things to do tbh ...

... I'm using the close season to work on my novel and really enjoying it.

Unless the Mods start to get a grip on people obviously wumming this board will go the same way as RTG.

Over there the many great posters just gave up bothering and the lunatics are running the asylum.

When there's a total lack of humour you know a forum is becoming toxic ... and that's not for me.

 

What specifically about the set up? People keep saying 'the model' is the problem but only seem to have vague ideas about what 'the model' is.

 

Then why even entertain having an interview? His first impressions don’t suggest he’s hard work (thereafter I can definitely sympathise with people who think he is).

 

The real fans are all having meltdowns, if you're not then you're a happy clapper and Speakman apologist. There is no in-between.

 

I have no idea if our main targets have turned us down other than rumours. I would I hoped we had a manager in place by now, but I'm not concerned about it as long as they get 1 in place before pre season starts

 

Maybe they don’t meet him till then !

 

A lot of here seem to behaving a meltdown believing every rumour in the press. Best just to wait and see who they appt then make a judgement

Not sure why people keep mentioning the set up, it's a pretty common set up in a lot of clubs

You going down the line of self publishing? My cousin in Chicago had to but it worked really well.

 

Probably to do with every season we were in L1 the were a PL club, attendance figures mean **** all if your comparing to PL.
We have a PL fan base and foundations to be a PL team.
Any team with parachute money to spend will be more attractive than us
However I'm sure it's been quoted that he walked away because we wanted an answer now. That I praise the club for , if he wants to wait to see what better offers are available then **** him

No mate, I'll either find a publisher or satisfy myself with having finished it ...
