"from people i know close to the club, he pulled out the race due to the club wanting a decision made asap and not due to terms of the club, he wanted to speak to burnley before deciding. next in line is marti and are willing to pay compensation as they realise the situation"

Canny lad ben is don't think he would lie about it for no reason

Think they realise that goodwill has ran out completely.

If that is the case, it looks like Still delaying our offer until he received an alternative has scarred us a bit, so now we give deadlines for decisions.

Surely it'll take longer to agree compensation with QPR, speak to Cifuentes and agree a deal with him than it would to allow Rosenior to speak to Burnley then give us a decision.

Assume interview/interviews already done and compensation is just a clause in the contract so need to agree a fee

I think what some of us are forgetting is that word gets around.
Go back to the dark days of Moyes. Everyone was saying stuff like he was told all sorts of stuff by the club about finances which turned out not to be true. Nothing happens in a vacuum. It would have been common knowledge in the football world just how dire SAFC were back then. It’s called gossip.
Fast forward to now. If as some believe, that Speakman has some sort of Svengali like grip on KLD and that Speakman is the one really in charge and calls all the shots, then that too will be common knowledge. So, it begs the question “why are potential head coaches turning us down when they’re told about the restraints they allegedly have to work under?” Surely these coaches will know all about these restrictions before they’ve even set foot at the AOL for the interview.
The bottom line is that none of us have a clue about what goes on inside the club. We just see the finished product on the pitch. Whilst it is human nature to speculate about such things we really don’t know about the inner machinations.
SAFC as a club will be fully aware that the next head coach appointment is pivotal in moving forward. I’d like to think that they know exactly what they’re after in order to make it happen.

Would be happy with Cifuentes. Especially as it would prove we are willing to pay comp

We aren't actually being linked to a man who changed his name to El Maestro by deed poll are we?

We're Darren Brown and Siegfried and Roy busy?

Could only imagine Cifuentes will happen if there’s a release clause and it’s low, say £250k or under

They'll (rightfully) be unreasonable, this would be a massive blow to their season.

He’s definitely worth paying that mind, we spent similar on Hemir (I think)
