Selling Rutter will only INCREASE our FFP issues. We'll lose money if we sell him, which is not the point of this fire sale. I can't remember which position Arseupsson played. All I remember if him running about like a Duracel bunny. Absolutely nothing else. Can't remember him scoring, offering assists, shooting, heading, dribbling, tackling - wtf did he do? Our current midfielders score quite freely. He scored 1 in 36 for us. No wonder we're not selling him - who'd want him, even if it was a freebie. He's Grimes mark 2 to me. That bad!
Depends on what we get if we sell Rutter. The transfer fee due to amortisation is spread across the length of the contract in terms of profit and sustainability rules, so if it’s four years it drops 25% each year so we could break even or show a profit on the books even if we sell for less than we paid for him. It is also why clubs like Chelsea are looking to sell academy players like Gallagher as on the accounts the transfer fee is all profit. That’s the concern around Archie Gray.

Depends on who you consider to be a midfielder. I'd say Summerville (21), James (13), Gnonto (9), & sometimes midfielder Rutter (4) [actually 8 in total, so let's say he spent half his time in MF]. So 47 goals* amongst them is scoring freely imo. ... or did you foolishly think I was talking DMs? Oh thats easy WJ Numerous figures have been mentioned on here about what we paid for Rutter, that it is hard to believe which figure is actually true. So I will go by the figure on transfermarkt.com which when converted to £, was £28,666,000. If others believe it was higher or lower, then please feel free to reply to WJ yourselves He signed a 5 1/2 contract with us, and the rules limiting the length of a contract for FFP purposes had not yet been introduced, so the whole term of his contract applies. Basically his book value with the club reduces by £5,212,000 per year. He has been at the club 18 months, so his current book value is £20,848,000 ( his book value reduces by £2,606,000 every 6 months) So any sale figure over £21 million would count as positive in respect of FFP If as some say we bought him for £24 million, then his value for FFP purposes is £17,455,000, so a sale figure of more than£18 mil would be positive in terms of FFP for the club. If we go for the higher figure that was paid of £35 million, then his present day value to the club is, £25,455,000. So we would need a sale figure of £26mil for it to be positive in terms of FFP. Whether we would achieve any of those figures is of course a matter of opinion.
