Got sent this by a mate who's a Man city supporter. https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/sunderlands-hummel-kit-deal-3103052 Cheeky git said "at least yous will look smart" .
Just impossible to stay excited this long, we weren't to know it would drag like this. Not blaming anyone, just a fact of life. You just know it is going to be something of an anti-climax now.
Just want it wrapped up this week so I can let the euros take my mind of safc for a couple of weeks atleast
OK, clutching here, maybe its a huge reveal, New Kit, New Head Coach, New contracts for Rigg, Clarke and Neil, all at the same time. Think I am going back to bed!
Clever tactic by the club really. We wait and wait and wait. They appoint Bungle from Rainbow and we are all delighted, at last.
Anyone else woken up in a really sad almost depressive mood over this? Its genunely affecting my day to day life now. Haven't felt like this about the club since, well, ever. During the Donald League One days I was able to pretty much switch it off and stop caring. Which is sad I know. But it preserved my mental health. I now feel like the frog who is gradually heated up in a pan of water. Just 6 weeks or so ago I thought all was well with the club. I was confident that the off the pitch stuff was fixed. I was confident we'd had a blip but would appoint quickly and move on. Now I genuinely have no idea where the club is going. I have always feared Rigg would leave. Now I can't see how he stays, unless we appoint somebody literally in the next 72 hours. The story of Dan Neil yesterday, click bait language or not, has thrown me over the edge. That was then compounded by rumour that the club is for sale, again. Disastrous. Exaggerating things? Probably. Over-reacting? Almost certainly. But this is what is happening to my mental health over this. So if anybody else is genuinely feeling **** about this. Not just when thinking about the club or on the board but also when you're going about your daily life. Know you're not alone. I hope the club put us right soon.
Mate if you're feeling like this you need to take a break from here, socials and football for a bit. You're getting yourself worked up and depressed over stuff that is way out of your control and most of it is made up anyway. It's only football man
Completely agree with you but there's a part of me that feels I've seen it this far and I don't want to miss the finale
True. Might as well stick it out a bit longer . Seriously though, there's a few lads I know who are the same as you. I've told them exactly the same, just take a step back and stop worrying about it. Coming on here and socials reading a goldfish bowl full of the same made up bollocks isn't healthy.
Stay of social media then mate, itll only make you feel worse Everyones mood will change with an appointment of a manager, then we can look forward to the summer and see what happens As i said yesterday we are not in a bad place at all, we have some quality players in the squad, things off the pitch finally going in the right direction and im only buzzing to see the new strips Get a new manager in and we will all start to feel more relaxed If you are feeling down, reach out mate As @Forpadydeplasterer said its only football
Very true, i'd like to stop feeling the need to check forums every day, every day it gets closer and closer to another week going by without it sorted, we need to be focusing on recruitment etc and we have exciting kit launches coming up that will all be covered in ****e if we don't have a head coach in
It's the bad times that make the good times better and the darkest time is often before the dawn ... ... there's a couple of clichés to get you started mate. Seriously we had a terrible time in L1 but that Wembley final was one of the best things I've seen in 60 years. The first relegation, to the 3rd division, was traumatic and I was at both Gillingham games ... ... but the next season was one of my favorites of all time. The Quinn 'management' was horrendous then the following season an absolute joyride. Perhaps my many years helps me stay optimistic but it's more than that ... ... it's the supporters that are the club and the more we support each other the better things are. Enjoy the bad times with humour and enjoy the good times with pride, Ha'way the Lads!!!
