I’m very tempted to cancel my direct debit like. Club are depressing the life out of me at the minute.
Totally understand that mate, id say just wait n see what actually happens 1st As i said in my last post, the not knowing what is happening can be awful for us fans. Could be some great things happening in the background but because we dont know what is happening it causes us to go 'no news is bad news'
I am. Or at least the ones that behaved like spoiled children over it. If KLD ****s off because of that I'll be ****ing livid. Best owner we've had in decades and people can't see it. We could well end up as a status symbol for some far Eastern businessman with no clue or the puppet of a pariah state. ****ing brilliant.
The only ownership change Id want to see at this stage is Sartori selling all of his shares. I want to see our majority owner be all in with the club, KLD appointed himself chairman, attends games quite regularly and sounds like hes involved in the head coach process, thats good for me. If he's lost interest then fair enough, hopefully he does the club well over the summer and have us prepared for a good season and looks to get the right buyer in September time. I wouldnt want someone who needs investment in order to get shares as suggested with LP. Would want it to be someone using their own money, their own risk with full focus on making the club successful.
Sorry mate, but if KLD is selling because of a few nasty words on the Internet then he possibly needs to get some thicker skin. His old man owned Marseille, he should be well aware of how tribal football fans can be
Aye think I’d lose the money I’ve already paid. Part of the reason I don’t like any payments coming out before the season starts, but then I guess they do it like this to protect themselves. I probably won’t cancel, but at this point I think it’s purely because it’s time I enjoy spending with my Dad. Sunderland don’t half know how to suck the life out of you though.
Clubs been in a damn sight worse state than this before in my humble opinion. I understand it does look awful at the minute but I will be back at the start of the season AND I'm looking forward to it.
When people want to blame the fans, the only "fans" they should be looking at are the doom spreaders on Youtube, what a bunch they are
I agree, by no way am I defending the abuse of which I totally agree with Norton on that part. Its football on social media, if that deters you then you shouldnt be owning a football club at this sort of level, its not even a fair representation of the fanbase who I feel the majority are supportive of KLD.
I do love your eternal optimism Scout73. Every message I ever read from you is always either glowing and happy go lucky and you just come across as a throughly decent chap!! Keep it up.
I looked at cancelling previously (financial, no other reason) and its difficult to see if you would lose the money or not, as you are paying for goods or a service you have not received, it isnt covered in the DD guarantee, so I think I only have 1 more payment to go, so will stick with it
Marseille fans can be quite brutal. We are tame in comparison. It's the social media fannies that drag us down, but that's what a lot of today's society are like. I hope KLD stays, but he needs to realise the club he's bought is really important to the fans and the area. Thing's like the black cats bar etc have hurt us and these sort of things cannot happen again.
The Dreyfus family have form for making a business successful then selling at a profit, they nearly always leave after making a success. Lay foundations, build on them, sell for a profit, leaving behind another successful product for someone else to take over. Scuttling the ship simply isn’t good business practice for a family as successful as theirs. Some people need to get a grip
