He was absolutely fantastic. His first touch is unreal, and he’s ridiculously fast. Looked miles above the level of almost everyone else on the pitch
Well, would you look at that. The direct, experienced winger who can't get into a strong PL team actually looks quite good in the Championship.
And played pretty regularly in that strong squad for some time. Fraser's an injury and being-an-idiot risk, but he's miles above the level otherwise.
This is why we should all trust the process. RM and JW have done a fantastic job so far, no reason to not trust them. If they sign Fraser and Holgate, there is a reason for that and and so far every major signing has been more than decent!
Let’s just get the striker situation sorted before we get too comfortable. With our team he will be whipping crosses into nobody all season
Provides some needed EPL experience in the squad . From the televised interview he gave after his arrival, he came across as someone who had developed a genuine liking for the South Coast from his time at Bournemouth. So a good fit for both parties.
According to Newcastle fans he is leaving for next to nothing, essentially a free transfer at this level. Smart business. He is desperate to join, cheap, likely sensible wages and has PL experience. I do like the fact SR have learned from their mistakes and are looking to combine youth with experience this time.
Great news, Wee Man is a great squad option with the right desire, experience and character, things we were seriously lacking last season!
Too many of our loan signings turn from silk purse to sows ear, but I think that Fraser’s attitude makes this unlikely Good to get some more early business in the bag, certainly helps to retain my ridiculous blind optimism … and I stress the word blind
