Not sure I can really. But I picked up a physical copy recently and it was a lot lot better than I remember. It feels like they keep the click bait and negativity to online rather than the actual paper- which was actually fairly positive on the whole. Also - as it’s still a daily - they have some staff that actually know the area pretty well - as opposed to some of the papers that have gone down to weekly or twice weekly - which will have fewer staff on the books that know the area.
The paper copy is far better than the online guff. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Manchester City News are claiming that they are preparing to sell Liam Delap to a Premier League club (not named in their article).
It was sort of inevitable, I always thought it was a bit of a pipe dream he would come back. Southampton were keen on him, this might be where he ends up.
I saw on X Furlong is wanted by Maribor, I guess could be true with Acun connected there now. Which might suggest Giles is in the frame to come back with Jacob as the 2 LB positions.
Nixon is now overage as of this season so would have to be named in the 25-man squad in order to be used. I think that cut-off is make or break for a lot of players. He was in his option year too, which in hindsight we probably only activated in order to sell him for a small fee instead of losing him on a free. Cartwright, Jarvis and a couple of others are also now overage as of this season.
Are you sure you didn’t pick up the Hull Story by accident? That’s a great local paper with proper journalists And free too
Reports that Furlong might be loaned out to Maribor... (Acuns latest project perhaps) and that Middlesbrough are keen on getting Giles back. That leaves Matty Jacob, I'm not counting Fleming for the LB position...
Baz on the 1904 club podcast said we have an obligation (not an option) to buy Giles for around £4m. Doesn't rule out us buying him and selling him on, but seems unlikely
