Imperative he signs. The second he signs the contract he instantly becomes an asset worth at minimum £10million which will increase rapidly the more he plays.
Not sure about Cifuentes. He's had 7 clubs since 2014,and has obviously had release clauses in his contracts. Doesn't give me any confidence that he'd be the longer term patiently build and grow appointment I'm hoping for.
to me his signing is the most important thing happening at the club at the moment. more so than the head coach
if somebody comes and poaches him it would have to be because he's done well, so I'm not fussed about that
@Capt_Fishpaste Liam Rosenior met with Kyril Louis-Dreyfus about taking Sunderland job on Tuesday last week. May be related to KLD’s ‘imminent/final stages’ statement on Friday and subsequent dropping of interest in Pascal Jansen. Definitely one to keep an eye on. #SAFC

It'll be Rosenior I think, which I'm happy about as long as he gets authority over the coaching staff and we fully commit to his style within player recruitment. No more disjointed implementation of the model, do it properly.
Wonder if we ever looked at Ruud Van Nistelrooy, very very unlikely he would step down to championship though
I don’t know why people are having this meltdown over him, people are forgetting that Hull finished 9 places higher than us and got more points we did in 2022/23
Fishpaste: A little extra snippet on the #SAFC manager hunt. I’m told that reservations about working with Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman has definitely played a part in it dragging for this long.
