Did he do well at hibs? Seen a couple reports he had great games and a couple saying he had stinkers, also seen him take out 2 of his own players taking a free kick haha quality viewing.
Fair enough, just haven’t seen that side of his game, he looks more like a ball carrier in the Ekwah mould
I can only remember seeing him at the SOL for MK Dons and I didn’t see anything that impressive from him. Seemed really highly rated though
That sounds promising. I think we need an attacking left back in that mould to give the squad more balance. It’ll be competition for Cirkin and also allow us to play with wing backs should we choose. I think Alese is more suited to centre back or left of a back 3 so we need to play him there not full back. As for Hjelde it’s still early but I think he may need a loan or purely be back up.
Pretty much as you said, a couple games he was really impressive - breaking up play and moving the balm quickly. Others he looked really poor - unsurprising considering it was a new position
£10m for Patterson, £12m for Jobe, £20m - £5m for Clarke so £37m to spend would be canny for the new coach.
I think he’s subtracted the 5m mentioned as sell on due to Spurs making a total of 37. I think we’d get more for Jobe mind.
Ah, thought it was a range of between £20-25m but forgot to put the 2 in front. Not sure if the £5m is confirmed biut I think there may be something similar with Bellingham. However, I would expect more for all 3, particularly Bellingham.
As unlikely as it sounds Monty's maths are accurate in this case. He's not saying Clarke's worth 5 but 20-5 aka 15. Just thought I'd mention it as Monty only makes one sensible post a year and it was a shame to see the 2024 version being misunderstood.
Don't worry on the other thread he is winning the Euros (assume he means euro millions) and signing Mbappe on loan! So fair to say back to himself there!
Interesting in light of what's been said about the difficulties of signing centre forwards https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c72p403v35vo
