My old dear took a turn for the worse yesterday. Long story short, the urgent care dept where she went after her fall somehow managed to miss the fact that she had also broken 4 ribs and needed a CT scan on her head because she's on blood thinners.

This is the same dept that somehow managed to miss the fact that she'd fractured her pelvis the last time she fell.

Anyway, she's now on an acute ward at the main hospital down here. Breathing not good and low 02 levels. Broken ribs, chest infection, broken wrist, and horrendous bruising.

Sorry to hear that mate. My Grandfather took a turn for the worse like this and it was horrible, how old is she out if curiosity?

She's not actually old old, she's 78. But she doesn't look after her health. Diabetes out of control and despite my endless nagging she does **** all to manage it.

Which is partly why we're in this position now, as the diabetes has affected her eyes, which caused her to miss the step the other day.

But yeah, it's **** seeing your loved ones go through this sort of thing.

Nah she's not that old, but if she's not in the best of health it might be a long road to recovery for her, just gotta pay attention to her care and make sure they're doing all they can for her.

If she's stubborn tell her to put a lid on that nall and start listening to her doctors
