I think I preferred it like that. VAR has been horrific.

This all day long, VAR should only be used on the request of the referee. The officials should be the main men on the pitch and not some lads in an office hundred of miles away spoiling the game

Good. Now make it work properly. Every other major sport can, football just doesn't want to, because a level playing field doesn't suit the business model.

Spot on, VAR helps get the right decision more times than not but the PL doesnt use it well at all

Surely during this process the PL will have detailed how they plan to improve it for the coming season.

In its current guise it’s absolutely shocking but as discussed before there are so many ways they could make it workable.

Spoiling the game as a spectacle. The main reason being the joy of the ball hitting the back of the opponents net constantly dulled by the wait for the game to restart before actually being abled to 100% celebrate the goal.

Also, everybody at the ground standing around like utter tits waiting ages for some gimp surrounded by technology to draw iffy lines on a screen? Dubiously showing a players pubic hair on their left bollock is a midgies knacker in an offside position. Linesmen leaving their flags down even when they know they are in an offside position. Referees sleepwalking through games relying on VAR.
I hate the occasions when lets say, a VAR check for a penalty is given, but hang on, further checking shows a player about 10 seconds beforehand received the ball in a slight offside position. No penalty!

I like the idea that the referee/linesmen on the pitch are 100% officiating the game LIVE, not some twat hiding in an office 30 seconds later.

The Premier League clubs themselves shouldnt even be voting. Season ticket holders should be. The fans at the games are the ones suffering the most.

If it is here to stay then VAR checks should mimic what they do in cricket. A team should be given one or two VAR claims in order for them to be given a chance of overturning a clear refereeing error. If they are correct in their claim, they keep their VAR claim. If not, they lose it.

The 6 VAR areas are for improvement are:

    1) Maintaining a high threshold for VAR intervention to deliver greater consistency and less interruptions to the flow of the game.
    2) Reducing delays to the game, primarily through the introduction of semi-automated offside technology (SAOT) and the maintained high threshold for VAR intervention.
    3) Improving fan experience through a reduction in the delays, in-stadium announcements from referees after a post-VAR change of decision and where possible, an enhanced offering of big screen replays to include all VAR interventions.
    4) Working with PGMOL on the implementation of more robust VAR training to improve consistency, including an emphasis on speed of process while preserving accuracy.
    5) Increasing transparency and communication around VAR – including expanded communications from Premier League Match Centre and through broadcast programming such as "Match Officials Mic’d Up".
    6) The delivery of a fan and stakeholder VAR communication campaign, which will seek to further clarify VAR’s role in the game to participants and supporters.

    Still gonna be crap.
