Aye, that would be the ideal but it's not how it works. Even more so when expectations aren't managed and it's allowed to build as much as it has.
Im not saying its not reality but this is why i hate fans of clubs at times. Demand instant success, want managers sacked if they dont get that success then moan that we keep sacking managers I get some of itll be down to poor appointments by management but the only way we will have success is by having some sustainability as a club Sick of going through managers all the time
There is no noise just the odd bit of rumour or speculation. The only noises really are the few fans who voice their opinions on social media.
No guarantees mate and this is Sunderland after all. Got knackers like stones the amount of times we've been kicked in them.
True enough! Anyway, didn't think you had time for this today.....something about ****ing on the metro....or something?
I completely disagree. You conduct the right process 100 times you'll get a higher number of good results than if you conduct a poor process 100 times. Look at the Mowbray appointment, that was a good process using data. Look at the Neil and Beale appointments, they were bad processes one worked for a short period of time before things that should've been identified in the recruitment process came back to bite us and then one flat out was a disaster. Process matters.
To be fair to the club it's their job to identify good candidates us regular punters might not know about. Everybody knows Steve Bruce but I wouldn't want him even if he hadn't managed us before.
Get a competent DoF who doesn't burn relationships and can actually implement a proper player trading model and club identity then maybe we'll get a coach here for more than a year or so. No coach under Speakman has started and finished a season, that's crazy.
My reply was in conjunction with @Pure River Slut post about certainty which in your post you agreed with. I get the steadying hand but TBH I don't like the style of play that Rosenior likes to play as it is very similar to what we have tried to adopt this season. That said if he is named our HC I will support him and hope I am wrong about his preferred style of play. TM in the main proved me wrong until about 8 to 10 games in this season when everything seemed to change .
I get that but all signings, whether you agree with them or not, have been made by the club rather than a manager (except dack) so we have some sort of identity and structure of young, hungry, skilful players who can grow with the club. It might have gone off rails a bit but can still be clawed back. While everyone jumps up and down about speakman cos of Beale and a few dodgy signings, the club is unrecognisable now to what it was before he came. We have about 70m worth of talent in squad, we have a thriving academy who are punching with the big boys and until the sacking of Mowbray played some of the best football I've seen us play. A good appointment this summer, couple of additions and we can kick on again
Was Mike Dodds birthday couple of days ago and didn't post anything, announcement soon?? It will just be the kits like but still
