Is there any ITK 's out there with a knarring about this new gadgy being announced today.or tomorrow or the day after. Cos us nar nowts are waiting for a deffo decision on the new gaffer/ head coach.
He’s not currently employed so no compensation. No idea if there is any substance in the rumours but reading social media a lot of Dutch fans are suggesting he wants a new challenge in a new country.
Please Bob no, just no! The RTG 'new coach' thread is ten times the so called shambles they're criticising ... ... leave that shyte to Vauxie and his one and only 'joke'. To be serious, people are posting about him as things arise and this article explains a lot, just substitute 'Norwich' for 'Sunderland'. https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/24333...get-norwich-city-head-coach-search---reports/ please log in to view this image
Refuse to get excited about any of these random names. It's clear Still isn't coming (not convinced I wanted him anyway) so the idle fingers of the twitterati are seemingly googling "out of work, European coaches under 55" and linking us with a new one each day. As long as KS and KLD have a new man in for the 1st day of pre season then I'm happy. I don't give a **** if it's not a sexy name, because there is no guarantee of success. Just get the right man appointed and crack on...
Jeez, takes me back to being a bairn. Don't think I've heard that since. Sue passed away April reading up. RIP Sue. I'm not surprised 70's fashion never really came around again watching this
I'm not too sure about that tbh. He obviously wants to be managing a club this season and there are limited available vacant positions ... ... that fact alone makes me believe that he may still be at Sunderland who clearly wanted/want him. People elsewhere are saying that he won't be going to Lens, Sunderland or anywhere else ... ... 'because his new agent is greedy'. How does that work ffs, only agreeing a deal will bring the agent a bonus
Maybe its just a plan by the owners to wear us down so we will eventually accept anyone. Dodds? its not going to work is it?
I'm just usure given the timeline. We've offered him a deal which he accepted then reneged. We've supposedly gone "all in" with our best offer last weekend and here we are on Weds with seemingly no progress. Now there will be stuff behind the scenes that none of us are privy to, but it's starting to drag on and on and we are in danger of behind left behind again. The Sporting Director has spoken in the past about succession planning and how he/the club always has a working list of Head Coaches to pick from should the need arise, yet here we are 5 weeks on from the end of the season and still rudderless. It was the same when Mowbray was sacked, and the same when Johnson was sacked. In fact the only time we've appeared to have a succession plan was when Neil left and we appointed Mowbray, but the more I think about it the more I wonder if they just lucked out by the fact he was a) available, b) interested and c) in the stadium the day Neil left. Speakman covers himself in the glory of appointing Alex Neil, but when you watch STID it transpires it was Neil who contacted the club whilst we publicly flirted with Roy Keane. I'm not in panic mode, nor do I subscribe to the risible and frankly boring narrative of "107 days without a Head Coach blah blah blah" but it's time for action. Time to ****, or get off the pot.
It's like going shoe shopping with the Mrs. After 4 hours and 10 shops "Just buy that ****ing pair, any will do"
