The media seem to have come to a consensus conclusion that slot is a very unerehelming appointment.

There's nothing but stories of players wanting to leave or stories about players turning us down, with a mix of what Michael Edwards will do thrown in (nothing as that's not his job)

Imo slot needs a flier of a start and going to the USA and player teams of an equivalent level there might not be wise but it is what we are faced with.

It seems half our team.are going to Saudi Arabia if I believed the media.

Oh and salah got hair plugs BTW

So Slot seems to be a smart cas on the touchline type in terms of attire. No chance he's wearing a club tracksuit or red tie. I noticed in one of his pictures he's wearing deck shoes, no socks <yikes> I'm going to miss the baseball hat (and the man under it).

Not seen anything sayings he’s underwhelming?

not seen any article about playing wanting to leave or players who have turned us down - be impressive given transfer window isn’t even open yet.

Maybe looking at different stories but why you’d chose to believe anything written about players leaving / the manager when he hasn’t even met the teams

There are lots of links citing Sepp Van den Berg wants to leave. As usual it's all sensationalist headlines but this particular one does have quotes from the player.

    Have you not?

I'm up to alisson, kelleher, trent, konate, van dijk, gomez, Szoboslazi, macallister, gtavenberch, diaz, nunez, salah

I didn't say I believed them. I said I believe thr media have made up their mind and are starting this narrative that will only grow.

I think slot needs a really good start to get this narrative back to next gen lfc.

I forgot about hommcos he sounds a whingy child who fails to realise he's got no pace and had a serious injury so is never making it here but sounding a whingy child won't encourage anyone to buy you.

He said the club hindered his progress. I was never very impressed with him but he was only young (still is). Apparently had a very good loan experience.

I'd always rather have players who have been loaned out or who have left the club to speak well of the club. Carvalho had a little moan when he went on loan. Be interesting to see if he fits Slot's plans.

Btw, I'm a bit confused by the new title of this thread.

    Let them crack on.

Imo vvd and Trent will sign new deals and all the noise and turmoil they are trying to engineer will **** off

Someone's going to leave. Someone always leaves when a new manager arrives. It's inevitable, it's not because Slot is underwhelming, it's because the new manager will see less in one player than the former manager did. You could bring in Winston Churchill, or QE1 to rally the troops and someone would still want to leave.*

I fail to see how getting him games and supporting him when injured is hinder8ng him

Especially as he was bought from a tiny club and pushed on massively.

His main thing is he is too slow for the top level in England imo so he feels sore about lfc asking for big moeny off a German outfit thst won't pay a quarter of that.

He doesn't get that nobody else will pay it either for a reason.

A player that hasn’t played for us in x years? And was on loan last year… quite different from lots of articles about players wanting to leave.

He prob wants to leave as wants to play first team football and knows won’t happen here. Prob be exact same story if klopp was still in charge - in fact prob has more chance under slot as it’s a fresh start

Something happened to you since Klopp left. You've gone from being quite laidback to being a little bit belligerent :bandit:

Meh just not sure why so much concern about what media are saying about players, what people saying about manager etc.

It’s a new era, just wait for start to the season and enjoy it when it comes around. We might turn ****, if we do, we’ve been **** before and gone through it with moments of enjoyment. Manager might turn out to be incredible and suddenly wins 2/3 league titles and a CL and we’re all going jurgen who?

Those are all more mainstream media and unfortunately listen to by more people than "legacy" media now.

Yesterday's leaving, slot's fat and bald etc etc.

That's completely true... we all forgot about the time Sloughton managed the team as soon as Jurgen won the title.
