It would probably add some extra weight to our attraction to some players, but in a situation like this, the higher reputation of Chelsea, the London location etc. would likely still have resulted in the the same outcome.
That wasn’t what your comment was about though. You were commenting that Chelsea have a bigger name manager than we do. I presume you forgot they sacked Poch
They've already taken big strides, but the gulf was large after years of zero ambition ownership. The process and progress will have to continue for a few years yet, but the direction is good.

It was Eales that opened this whole can of worms. At the end of the day Newcastle will have to sell both at some point, but this notion Newcastle have to sell both now is false.
Just gonna take some time chaps. No point is arguing about it. We have the nucleus of a good top six team. Add a couple of solid players and we can push on. We have to box clever. Leverkusen won the German league with a good coach and good players. No galacticos. We can improve by building a better squad. I have faith.
We're slightly ahead of Spurs and Man U to get top 4, but just below Chelsea. Top 6 is minimum this season really. Looks like Spurs are getting Tosin, is this Lloyd Kelly guy any good? Don't remember seeing him at all really.
According to Bournemouth supporters, Kelly is largely an excellent defender (they think he could be one of the best in the league if he could stay fit) but has the drawback of being injury prone.
