Even when the negativity has some basis in fact (unlike the examples you've quoted), it's often only one, quite blinkered, way of looking at it. Admittedly, I tend to look for the positives but I often find that the positive interpretation is more logical or rational. We can only look at facts to understand what's happened, and people are too quick to dismiss them if they don't fit how they want to interpret the scenario. Plus, as I've said previously there are some concepts that people just don't seem able or willing to grasp.
It's a difficult one. I guess they must share the blame. Maybe Speakman is limited by the purse he is given but he has made some **** decisions. KLD seems like a decent bloke so I haven't given up on him yet. Out of the 2 of them, I'd rather see Speakman go as apart from his decisions, he's came out with some crazy statements but has hid his head in the sand for months.
I haven’t seen much at all if anything recently that warrants any mods stepping in. I just needed to say what I said about you and your posts, you can have an issue with people posting unsubstantiated claims as much as you like, but maybe think about your reply’s and how you word them as you do come across as an arse sometimes.
Was hoping for an announcement today but reading this . https://rokerreport.sbnation.com/20...-sunderland-job-before-performing-lens-u-turn Well, if true, he seems to change his mind like the weather so maybe we've dodged a bullet there. Hopefully its Peter Krowietz .
I feel for @Magnus , he said that there would be an announcement on Friday and there was, just not the one we wanted obviously.
A lot of valid points there, we do seem to get a lot more activity when there is bad news, lots of posts from people I've never seen on a match thread. Of course we get the same gripes from the vocal dissenters using any excuse to put the knife in. It all gets a bit boring so I go do something else. You could always volunteer to be a moderator - it's a tough job knowing when to step in.
To be honest, I quite enjoy a good meltdown for the entertainment value but there are only so many ways you can say "I have an irrational dislike for this person or that person and I'll look for any stick to beat them with" until it becomes tedious. The season starting with the new manager in place and winning some games will hopefully change the mood on here.
In the modern climate I am probably being naive but I was brought up to believe that a verbal agreement was binding with the written contract simply formalising the position.
