hello one and all, no time to look at the cards today but a mate (who's far better at this game than me) fancies something in 1345 at Ffos Las. Can't fully remember the name but I think it was something like making the most of now and was around 5s when I checked. what a useless post on my behalf! but good luck all
Looking at Friday's card at Sandown there are 2 potentially stellar contests in the shape of the Grade 2 Winter Novices Hurdle (sponsored by Neptune - are they doing a grand job!!) and The Future Stars chase. The Winter Novices Hurdle entries include Fingal Bay (still the most impressive horse I've seen this season), Mr Henderson's Simonsig, Henry De Bromhead's Sizing Symphony (who has racked up a hat-trick including a Class 2 race last time with Saturday's runaway winner Peckhamecho well beaten in receipt of 8lbs), Emma Lavelle's Highland Lodge and Paul Nicholls Jump City. The mare The Strawberry One from the Arbuthnot yard is also interesting in receipt of weight. The Future Stars Chase really could live up to it's name with Bostons Angel, Master Of The Hall, Quito De La Roque, Royal Charm, Hennessey faller Sarando and the irrespressible Indian Pipe Dream () still entered up. Hopefully some of the Irish horses will make it across, but obviously there is the massive meeting at Fairyhouse on Sunday. Given the ground is still plenty lively enough I am hopeful that Australia Day will be in the King Edward VIII Novices Chase on Saturday
Actually, I thought I share something with you and replaced your original. When I woke up this morning I took one look and thought **** me, which is clearly what she was thinking also. So I grabbed my mobile and took a quick picture. I've had worse mornings.
Off to the Boozer for a few pints have a good day all - be back later on for a bit before the boozer part two SBC - took keen hold, tracked leader, led approaching 7th and soon clear, reduced lead next, over 2 lengths ahead when blundered badly and unseated rider 3 out
Thanks, RV. Astonishing how many of Mr Henderson’s novices aren’t getting round on their chasing debuts at the moment. I’m sure no-one on the forum would ever be critical of their favourite trainer but it’s a worrying trend right now. Tataniano, by the way, will face a maximum of 10 in Saturday’s ‘Tingle Creek’. Entries now in. I see meanwhile that there is a huge gamble going on at the moment on dear old Arsene to be the next England manager. 25/1 down to as low as 6’s. Also money for Martin O’Neill and Carlo Ancelotti as old ‘Arry drifts like the proverbial barge in the market.
Hello lads. Nothing for me today.Poor fare. The RV fella off to the ale house of a Monday afternoon.....!!..supremely jealous. Well done George on the winner. GL all.
Well, Flying Vic blewed-out, but good, so will have a bit on Just Benny in next at Folkestone..................
I was watching 100 great sporting moments last night with Beefy Botham slogging the Aussies all over Headingly in 1981. Then I went on YOutube and watched some of their "Bumble" clips - he is one funny bloke. The one where he's in front of a live audience talking about when Jeff Thompson hitting him in the goolies brilliant. He says to Tommo "Did you used to bowl in a wig?"
Sod that! Think I'll pop into the Hofbräuhaus and have a beer and sing along with the Japanese tourists...............
