    My garden.

Aside from my 4 hens (they're a lot of fun), I'm currently growing potatoes, sunchokes, blackberries, raspberries, gooseberries, red currants, apples, plums, rhubarb, garlic and mint. I love spending time out there when we've got nice weather.

Up and out the house at 5:30am with the dog. Just me and my own thoughts while he goes mad around Moorside, Doxy and Silky.

My lad is 17 months and is already a stroppy little tosser, just like his mar!

Are you telling me I’ve got 4 more years of this then it gets worse?

It's goes on for a lot longer than 5 years mate! The step daughter reminded me a lot of me at times when she was a teenager! <laugh>. She's 30 this year and although she's not as bad, she can be a pain at times. The grandson is just starting to find his attitude and some of his friends from footy really do my head in at times and he tries to be like them!

So to cut a long story short , enjoy the peace and quiet while you can! <laugh>

Smashed a week of fasting & swimming. Considering a small glass of wine whilst the missus is out and the kids are out doing their things. I love Friday nights

Just had paella and a few beers, in Tenerife, with the good wife. Can’t beat it.

Don't go out much but out tomorrow in Macclesfield for my mates 50th. All of us in same year. Could be carnage or could all be home early.

As you say there's nothing else on earth beats that. My kids are a few years older but I love it when she asks for a cuddle after I've read her a story at bedtime, and the rest of the world melts away. Long may it last.

Getting half an hour sitting in the sun in the garden reading a book, lifting weights while watching a horror film, I'm not sure why it just seems appropriate somehow, 2 or 3 sober evenings a week when me and the wife work on a 1000 piece jigsaw (without the picture to help) and watch Poirot on tv.

I used to be the same, mate. Out in the garden at every opportunity. I’d love to still be able to grow the variety and quantity that I used to but I tire very quickly these days so I stick to greenhouse plants: tomatoes, cucumbers etc.

    Face time with loved ones.
    • We can't control what has already happened.
    • We cannot change the future as it has not happened.
    • We can enjoy the here and now and savour every minute
Life is short have your opinions but make sure you let the people you love know how loved they are as tomorrow is a different day.

Kids away to the caravan with the in laws leaves me and the wife with a full day and night to ourselves, very very rare. Booked a B&B in Richmond so we are of for a light dinner then a day on the lash. Hopefully I will see the final tonight, I think the wife’s hoping for something else :1980_boogie_down:

A good thread about a head coach for me <laugh><laugh>

Honestly, like others, gardening is a good thing for me. I grow my own veg and salad. Everything just tastes better. Have a pond out there too and I can sit and watch the fish for hours.

Strimming. We have about 3/4 acre paddock. When the nettles, thistles and docks are getting a bit obvious I get out and cut a strip back and forth. Only about half an hour a day for a week but the results are very satisfying and the time spent very relaxing.
