So, if I don't have a smart phone I won't be able to access St Marys? Is this what digital ticketing means? As a season ticket holder for 50 years plus this seems a bit unfair.
We understand this new process may raise questions and some fans may have accessibility reasons for needing a physical ticket. We'll support anyone who needs further assistance and provide an alternative entry method where necessary. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/ne...plans-for-the-2024-25-premier-league-campaign
Getting back to ticket prices mine for the same seat is going up by 54%. Now I know that prices have been low but that level of rise is a piss take and unlike my insurance quotes I cannot just change supplier. With promotion the gate money is less significant so I fail to see why they choose to do this. I see some idiots on here seem to think we should just afford it but my income does not go up by these levels so decisions need to be made. I will probably suck it up but can understand why some won't be able to.
Where are you and what are last and this years prices? I’ve got to double check but behind the goal at the Chapel end I’m sure Mrs S is paying the same and I am paying 40 more
It's a big rise but £379 was ridiculously cheap, even for Championship standards. I'm paying an extra 39% but I was prepared for that because I was in the cheap seats in block 13. No one likes price increases, but £599 averages out at £31 a game. That's more than reasonable for PL football these days.
That's your opinion, I think any rise of that size when the club also now has premier League money is over the top, I am ok and can afford it, lots of people are really struggling with everything going up and at this time I think it is well over the top and taking the fans for granted.
Yeah, similar here. I'm up £80 on last year, but my zone hasn't really been reclassified (I'm still in the flank/wing) and I'm still on an adult ticket.
Mines up 54%. Utter bollocks, club should have been clear on the re classifications up front. They said average 15% there are a few of us so very difficult to move together and some too old to stand. Now there is no chance of getting seats together in the new tiny wings sections. Well and truly shafted by the club.
There’s an article on the BBC about Wolves season ticket price hikes. 190% rise this year for the fan it was focusing on, makes Saints seem generous
Yeah, when you compare our prices to other similar size clubs they are actually fine. People have just got used to dirt cheap ST's. Saints actually sent out an email yesterday re-explaining why the prices have increased after complaints. But what those people fail to understand is that the cheapest ST's from the season just gone equated to £16 per game. National League teams charge more per game than that - when I parked at Wealdstone last Sunday I saw they charged £20 a game. Their cheapest adult ST is £275. £85 less than our cheapest from last season! People who had the cheapest ST's last season need to take the large rise on the chin. It sounds harsh, but those tickets were so cheap that a big rise was inevitable. Now, the club should have communicated it MUCH BETTER. But on paper, the prices are fair in line with what other PL clubs are charging.
