Talking of transfer windows, has anyone on here used window transfers to try and create a stained or etched glass effect? I haven't.
OK, back on track.................. Been mentioned before but it's cropped up again - and the Scottish connection with Turnbull already here could be a factor.................. Interest in Brighton midfielder Leonard mounts Latest from Sky Sports News' Anthony Joseph: Cardiff City, Oxford United and Wrexham are interested in Brighton midfielder Marc Leonard. The 22-year-old enjoyed a successful loan spell at Northampton Town last season, with five goals and six assists. It’s understood the interested clubs would like to sign Leonard on a permanent transfer. The Scotland U21 international has one year left on his contract at Brighton, with the Premier League club having the option to extend by a further year.
I thought Turnbull could be an 8 to pull the strings in the middle of the park and get the front 4 moving. He's been used more as a 10. To my untrained eye, our midfield seems a bit muddled at the moment with no real structure or clarity. Lack of a playing style or interference from above? Who knows. Before we start signing players, we need to know the type of player we need to sign. A couple of youngsters coming through that will add to the mix. But possibly a CM with a bit of gas. It's a bit cliché, but with the defensively minded CBs we have and Siopis, someone to act as quarterback might work. Siopis and the CBs win the ball, their immediate aim is to give it to the guy who can play a bit. Until the manager situation is resolved, I'd be loathed to sign anyone.
Without a manager at the helm one has to question who at the club is allegedly interested in a player from another club?
Nah. He's permanently stood on Poole Quay looking out at Brownsea Island where he started his scout camps. Of course the woke brigade (muppets) wanted him removed due some historic family slavery connections - never mind all the good he did. Thankfully, and totally unusually for them, Poole Council told the wokes to do one.
The question remains, without a footballing 'style', a DoF or a manager, what type of player are they scouting for? It's so disjointed. The club has no structure.
Its an easy remit. Any player will do. A bit harder when a manager says I want a ball playing CB, a 'quarterback' CM a striker who runs the channels and a couple wingers who can come inside. That might be what we want. The problem is we might sign all of those things then get a manager who wants a target man, two wingers who can beat a man a cross the ball and two destructive CMs.
It’s so dispiriting with Clingy and Remote trying to be clever as a form of entertainment.....hmmmmmm! Anyone want to see Masky’s todger? Masky
