why does it matter so much? It’s not like the world is going to end if someone gets things wrong. I find it more embarrassing that some people get their knickers in a twist over it.

In seriousness, if it was left on reasonably good terms with Maric and we were as close to getting him previously as people say surely he'd still be obtainable regardless of the promotion to being one of Kompany's assistants (if that is happening)? He's done the being assistant at a top Bundesliga team thing, a jump to being the main man, albeit in a lesser league with a smaller team, would surely still appeal?
