It is interesting that its two days in a row with little bits from news sources. Romano and SSN, no messing.
please log in to view this image Will Still replied to the sky post - they got his league finish wrong haha
That Sky news story which feels 4-5 weeks late, actually feels like something the club may have released to put pressure on Still. I'm still in the "pessimistic" boat I got criticised for yesterday. What I'm seeing coming out of "public" sources isn't filling me with confidence that this is a deal about to be announced. No offence whatsoever to the guys bringing us the info, which I greatly appreciate. I just think that Sky, Romano etc will all see the rumours the likes of pingu and @Magnus are posting and be attempting to verify them. And considering the volume of people claiming to know what's happening, I don't believe that Sky and Romano would be so far behind. EDIT as people are misunderstanding me - I'm not saying Sky or Romano read this forum. This forum is just where a lot of the rumour is starting. Sky journos and Romano will 100% know that many Sunderland fans think Still is a done deal. They won't necesarilly know it came from here. But they'll know that Sunderland fans think it and attempt to verify it.
I doubt very much that Romano reads this board! He only posts stuff from agents and players when he’s approached by them to do it.
Let me translate. Will Still is set to be announced as the new Sunderland gaffer. We are mentioning Maric to make ourselves look like we have been across this for weeks.
No but he reads twitter and everything that gets posted on this board is on twitter within minutes. Plus people directly send him questions asking about Sunderland and Still all the time
see post above. My point was that everything that gets posted by magnus and pingu and other ITK people is on twitter within minutes, and directly asked of Romano. He won't read this forum or know who it comes from, but Romano will know that Sunderland fans think Still is imminent.
Alternative translation: Will Still is (now) not coming to Sunderland but don’t worry Sunderland fans, it’s all on the club’s terms as we’re still looking at other candidates and weighing up our options.
