No. The club have been in contact with William Still for a number of months but both parties have kept options open during this period. It has never been as close as people have made out with talks of imminent appointments which is completely untrue. Parties have negotiated but are not getting through significant hurdles.
Doubt “control over transfers” could be an issue this late in the day. It’s been clear as day throughout that our transfers aren’t the remit of the head coach
I don’t for a second believe talks would have progressed from the first phone call if Still wanted control over transfers
Just a word of advice. Limiting who can view your profile might lead to some posters questioning your authenticity or motivation or both.
Not just any scout, ‘the’ scout. Interesting as I thought that would have been some of the very early discussion points. I’m not tied to Still, sounds canny but I know very little about him. I just want a gaffer in place ASAP to have a good crack at pre-season, so we have a chance at pushing on next season.

Not under a DoF/Head Coach system. Most will know that they might be able to suggest players but won't be leading the recruitment.
