Summerville only has 2 years left on his contract. I know Leicester got over £40m for Maddison and Barnes even though they had 1 and 2 years left on their contracts, but we are talking about Leeds. £25m is what we'll probably get!!!
The problem we have is everybody now knows (if they didn’t before) we have to sell. And preferably as quickly as possible. Not the best circumstance for an auction.
Maddison and Barnes had proven premier league track records, whereas Summerville has really only shone in the second division so won’t fetch as much.
But, but..... didn't we pay £35M for Rutter? Or is it just us that spaffs that amount of silly money on "potential".

Apparently only a small number didn't renew season tickets and we still have a 20,000 waiting list. Heard something today that shocked me, some PL clubs are debating whether to ditch season tickets so to give everyone that's a member chance of getting matchday tickets as demand is so high, obviously matchday tickets work out more expensive, so that probably the reason behind it, truth be known.
I remember the same being said about Byram, first time around. All these years later, he's still a stick insect, but his appearance belies his strength. I remember speaking to one of his pals when he first broke through, who told me that his size was not a problem as his core was as strong as Hell. I was sceptical, but they were right! What I'm saying is that his size probably won't change, but there's a lot of room for improving his strength & techniques. If he's interested, that is, but it appears that he's either not capable or not interested. If we can't get rid, perhaps he can shine with the u21s.
He needs to try something, because if he doesn't improve his career will be over, other than back in America, where there's weirdly less contact, or the few games I've watched, it appears that way
