    I've never laughed so much...
There are lots of people on here with short memories. Just a while back we had the allams in charge.. now we have acun. I'm loving the ride...the excitement...the quality players we have had playing and quality to follow. Dry your knickers and sit back and relax. Manager will arrive soon. Transfer market not even open yet.

His biggest investment and the one he deserves most credit for, is the sea change in the support of our club. Free kids tickets, some of the lowest ticket prices in the league, free away travel, taking hundreds of people on holiday, none of these things made him money, quite the opposite.

The training ground could and should've been improved well before Acun came in but because of the Allam's pettiness it never happened.
How many million's did this Club bring in during the Premier years and what did they do with it and how much money has come in since Acun's had us? No comparison.

Paying for free trips makes him money? Interesting theory.

I think as supporters, we’re entitled to have some concern over one or two of the decisions that have been made, especially regarding the choice of Head Coach. Shota was a disaster, Liam was a relative success, although there are some who disagree but we’ll never know how it might have panned out if he’d been given a bit more time. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him being very successful with his next appointment, if he’s learned some valuable lessons from his time with us.
The trouble is, there are lots of instances of very well meaning owners throwing vast amounts of money at football clubs and failing miserably. There are quite a few examples currently, not least Stoke for one.
I’m hoping Walter or whoever we get turns out to be the right choice and we go from strength to strength but I can’t help feeling uneasy about it at the moment.

Particularly interesting that he was one of the ones supposedly so unhappy with Liam's style..

That's like saying advertising doesn't make you money - it's the reaction- keeping the customers with you

It's not really at all. Unless you're suggesting that 50 City fans going to Turkey is going to make a material difference to the entire supporter base's spending.

I understand the point you're trying to make, which is why in my initial post I didn't cite the cheap ticket prices etc. because you're right, that is the sort of money spent to get a long term benefit. I'm pointing to the small things he does to get good press that don't actually make a material difference.

    Quote from article:
"I learned so much [with Liam], honestly," he told the Mirror. "It's probably one of the best six months I've had. I was just able to go and talk [with him] about anything. Every other day we would have a meeting on what he wants me to do and [going through] clips.
What happened (Rosenior's exit) caught me - and I think everyone else - off guard because of how much of an amazing manager he is. I spoke to him after what happened. I said to him what I think of the situation, which I won't go into. But obviously, the club has their own vision for the future. I wish them nothing but the best and I wish Liam all the best."

But, but, but ... Carvalho didn't respect Rosenior and went to Tan to complain about him ... we were assured of this by those in the know. Can't believe Carvalho would fib like that to the HDM about his opinion of Rosenior. Maybe he didn't give that interview at all and Rosenior's agent paid the HDM to plant it in there. Hopefully those ITK can tell us what really happened. Perhaps it was the Illuminati. Or giant lizard people. Could go either way.

"If we don’t make the play offs next season it’ll have to be seen as a failure"
At the moment we don't know who will be playing for us, so making predictions of where we should finish in the league is a bit presumptuous. For now all the good loanees are going back so we will have a weaker team, I hope we will buy and loan some good or even better players but who knows?

And some will read that in a way that supports their own already formed opinion. I would say it's just fluffy words thanking the manager of a club where he was on loan, saying he learnt some things, the manager was open to discussing things and that him getting the sack came as a surprise.

It's a bt more than just an anodyne, fluffy statement. He didn't need to go that far, and what he said seems completely different to what we've been told that Carvalho had no choice but to go over Rosenior's head. I'm sure one of our experts will put me right though.
