Well the latest is according to people on here and that pingu guy on twitter they’ve been offered lesser roles and still is bringing in his brother as assistant and 2 or 3 other coaches
Could be his back room staff not being released until the end of the month. I don't think any of their names have been mentioned apart from his brother.
They come back for pre-season at end of June I was talking about the club requesting them to come in and meet their new Head coach 2 totally different things. My guess is that they would be invited to attend a kind of meet and greet but would not be obliged to attend.
They can return for certain dates depending on the pre /out of season schedule, fitness check ins etc I think Kompany had his training regularly last year for example. Not saying it is, probably more likely to be contractual or saves us a fortnights outlay.
IIRC Burnley were back in preseason before the Champions League final took place. Edit: it was the 5th June.
For right hand man I agree but a lot of coaches inherit the majority of the clubs existing coaching staff.
The latter. There is nothing wrong with having a philosophy, then learning from results and changing said philosophy.
The club is so ****ing watertight these days. Seems as though nowt gets leaked out, or even whispered to the local journos. Copley and Smith are good lads, I don't envy their jobs right now...
The club/the echo should really be in communication supporting each other. It's a struggle for local papers nowadays, they would ideally be the place we break news to help gain them traffic. Not that Italian guy who is doing just fine as it is.
Yep, it's continuing with a course of action despite all the evidence that it's not working that would be the problem. It was a very poor season, starting with the Farioli thing, but there should be no reason why it can't be retrieved as long as those two factors I mentioned, ego and politics, aren't the deciding ones.
Good post, the club should support local in whatever way they can imo. From contractors to the breaking news they should look to keep it local first. That Romano bloke on twitter must be one of the most followed footy journalists in the world and I imagine he does very well for himself. He has clearly worked hard to make relationships to get as many breaking stories as he does but he is probably at the point now where the news comes to him he is that well known.
The Farioli thing is interesting. I believe that if the club felt he was the man to take us forward then they should have appointed him. I know that would have been harsh on Mogga, and there would have been uproar amongst the fanbase, but successful business is all about making the difficult decisions. As it turned out, the Farioli flirtation, the ill feeling between KS/KLD & Mogga, the alleged bust ups in America all led to the inevitable sacking and the horrific decision to appoint Beale which killed our season. They have to get this appointment right
