The 27yo winger spent last season on loan with the Toffee's, making 35 appearances (2693 minutes of game time). As Leeds failed to win promotion, Harrison (and others) can opt to spend another season out on loan without so much as a fee! Leeds splashed out £11m, and £9m in loan fee's for the former Citeh academy player. Whilst he is contracted to Elland Road until 2028, the Whites may cut their losses and recoup as much as they can. As the third placed club, (and play off finalists), no other Championship side has been more affected by Leicester City's unfair advantage. The Foxes topped the division with 97 points, but face a points deduction next season after falling foul of profit and sustainability rules. Had they (Leicester City) cut their cloth accordingly last season, their squad would have been weaker, and may have finished their campaign outside of the top two, and Leeds promoted automatically! Morning all Whoever we sell or sign I hope we get it done and dusted before preseason. I did read that Wober and Aaronson only have the first year loan clause, next season they have to both report back. I can't see anyone wanting Aaronson, Wober we will hopefully get a decent amount for.
If the PL and EFL came under one organisation, we'd avoid this farce whereby the value of cheating gains you more than the punishment. Get promoted but then wait until the next season to get a small slap, but hey, you're promoted.
Hope I’m wrong, but we’ll get bugger all out of Everton for Harrison. They can’t afford his wages and a fee on top - however I’d tell them it’s £15m to purchase outright, or £5m for season long loan (as we have him under contract till 2028). Otherwise we’re open to offers from other parties. On Gnonto, we won’t get anything like a decent fee, unless he goes to a PL club. Don’t think there will be any foreign clubs likely to spend even €20m on him. I’d be delighted if we got £30m for them, but not holding my breath.
If they don’t want to be here then please get rid asap and have players who want to be here. None of this waiting until the last minute and I still don’t want any of the rats back. Not being able to get a fee for them on loan is disgraceful and shows after his debacle at Boro, that Orta should never have been let within an inch of our club. Taken us backwards financially towards Ridsdale in my opinion.
Has Harrison got the same loan agreement as the others? Why wasn't others given them, ie Bamford? Harrison has said he wouldn't be here next season, regardless where we were, so get rid to the highest bidder, not that I think they'll be many. Possibly the biggest disappointment about us not going up is not being able to get this loan farce sorted, absolutely ridiculous contracts to give out, one season was bad enough but for it to roll over is complete incompetence on Orta's part. Gnonto needs to go, his hearts not in, he can go and keep falling over elsewhere.
The rats can ALL go out on loan again for minimal fees. None of them have to come back here so long as they find a club to pay 100% of their wages.
It was good to see mr contract from the 49ers was watching over their investments. Him being the contract guru made sure everything was in the clubs interest.
What kind of business man was Radz and that prick of a spic Orta, how do they become wealthy business men?? The club is in utter termoil, surely the 49ers board did a full due diligence prior the buy out, how can the rats and the rats agents be allowed to screw us like they are going to do, time we said no, up yours and play hard ball, as for players like Gnonto he can GTF asap, get as much as we can for him and ship him out along with rest of the dross ie Bamford, Byram, Cooper etc I really cannot understand that we could have another Ridsdale situation brewing up and the new owners have allowed it…. Pissed off with all of it.
They were smooth talkers and fooled a huge section of the fan base. For years nobody could say a word wrong about them especially on social media, you'd be told you weren't a Leeds fan at all
Was listening to Simon Jordan and football financial expert Kevin Maguire on talkSPORT earlier. There is absolutely no danger of another Ridsdale meltdown. We have very good owners and investors so cash to the business isn’t an issue. It is falling foul of the EFL Profit & Sustainability rules. Unfortunately Leicester exploited a loophole that the league has now closed so if we break the rules we’d likely get a points deduction during the upcoming season.
Strangely enough, someone said to me before the playoffs, Harrison has no loan agreement, the club decided to loan him out to save wages, I challenged them as everywhere you read they all assume he has this clause, but the guy said don't you believe it. Wober and Aaronson have reportedly only a one year loan clause, when I was trying to find out if this was true it seems common knowledge that not all those out on loan have the same agreement, some are for as long as we are out the PL others it was one year
Didn't we foolishly give Harrison a new deal ? I would have thought he'd have the same option to loan if relegated clause the others got as well
Surely if you close the loophole the rules change from the date you close it. I feel confident we are going to be fine. Two seasons back, several fans were complaining we didn't spend anything, as we had sold KP and Raphinha so our net spend was minimal. This season we raised £40m with the sale of Tyler and Sinisterra Stating we need to pay £70m in owed transfers by June but don't worry as we have money owed from sales doesn't gain as much click bait as stating we have £150m of debt. Once a couple of news outlets run with it then they are all over it and fear starts to spread. Before we close the 10 point gap, the 49ers stated they are willing to provide funds to ensure we have a cash flow.
Wober would probably be useful in the championship, Aaronson would be too weak arse, in fact he might find the physicality for the women’s team problematical.
