Just who we were rumoured to be hot on. What we think on this might be irrelevant. It could be another lloyd Kelly scenario. Who knows. Some.body might be just putting it out there to get a better deal.
You're probably right. Are they in a position of having to sell players to balance the books or do you think the better players just don't want another year in the championship?
What is it with utd fans and offensive names and numbers on the back of their replica shirts at cup finals.
they will have to trim the wage bill as the parachute payment is less next year and zero year after that .
Yeah the prem is awful and I'm not looking forward to next season at all but was a fantastic day yesterday and realistically as good as it gets for a club like us. As I said on here last week too it'll save me a few quid anyway so there's always positives.
The best thing he could do. Prove himself and the job offers will come rolling in ..... when he's ready for the next step up. Edit: I hadn't seen the story and just went looking. Ipswich have quadrupled his wages in order to keep him. I hope he's not been instrumental in the huge increase and is just going to be another money grabber.
We've been well and truly spoilt with Klopp, in more ways than one. When he negotiated his last contract he said he didn't want a pay rise but instead his assistants should get one. I'm always surprised, although I shouldn't be, when players or managers moving to get more money rather than enhance their careers, get comments from some people like 'well, you'd do it too for the money". Chance would be a fine thing but no I wouldn't. It's a shame that the game is more and more about money before everything else.
TBF, the two should come hand-in-hand and I'm not too bothered if it does, long as it's not mainly about getting more dough. I'm not money motivated at all but I certainly won't turn extra cash down.
Can’t ever fault people for moving for money. Short career and in management Youre only ever a few bad results from a sack and who knows how long until the next job and how much that job will pay. If you can get a job at a higher club with more money then very few people turn it down - I certainly wouldn’t. Would back yourself to succeed and take the increase in money that comes with it to help secure yourself for future.
How big will the brown envelope be from Radcliffe to Uefa so that Utd can stay in the Europa league instead of the Conference, as Nice finished higher in their league?
I'm old school. I prefer a Bob Paisley "other people have earned more money than me in football, but no one has enjoyed it as much as me" approach.
