I think if Still does come we might witness a bit of a power play between him and Speakman. Hopefully Still wins the day. More hopefully the recruitment issues have been sorted as part of getting him here.
Agreed but I’d like him to be immediately firm on what’s needed for him. It’s time a coach has the players needed to play their preferred system or what’s the point?
Agreed. If he prefers to play 3 at the back say, with wingbacks then what's the point in Speakman buying wingers.
He does like a mobile forward who runs the channels is what I’m thinking. Not a false 9, not an immobile 17 year old
Ideally, with DoF/Head Coach system, the coach should be selected because he plays a system that the club/the DoF has specified, otherwise its the tail wagging the dog. Its possible that Still believes he can play the possession-based game that we appear to have been trying to set up for. It's possible that the club are willing to be more direct, like Still was at Reims. Either way though, we can't have a squad as unbalanced as it has been.

Will Still 1/2 Liam Rosenior 5/1 Paul Heckingbottom 8/1 Bo Svensson 10/1 Frank Lampard 10/1 Rene Maric 10/1 Slaven Bilic 14/1 John Terry 20/1 Alex Rae 25/1 Paul Cook 25/1 Steve Cooper 25/1 Kevin Philips
That would be nice. I get the impression that Speakman is a touch arrogant and might try to stick with “the model”. But Will Still will still impose his will.
He’ll be telling us Trump is a breath of fresh air again and as an aspiring MP to vote Conservative. He is also absolute dog **** as a coach. **** Lampard
