Eli King won Ross County’s young player of the season after only joining them in January

 

He will be a very useful addition to our midfield and, from what I saw in his late season sub appearances, the same goes for Joel Colwill.

The latter may need a season out on loan to broaden his experience and toughen him up but they could be a big part of our midfield in the next year or so.

Add Conte to the list either in midfield or at full back and we clearly have some very good youngsters.

 

The likes of Ralls Wintle Siopis Turnbull just don’t inspire pacy creative and incisive midfield. The Colwill’s, King & of course Ramsey if fit should give the manager more options that’s plus whoever he is brings in others.

Ground staff at CCS going to have some work to do this evening.
The oval football players are a bit heavier and do a bit more damage, especially when 16 of them go head to head.

 

I expect the club get a decent wedge from the egg chasers for allowing them to play at the CCS, but personally I believe we should be protecting the pitch from unnecessary damage to ensure our football teams have the best possible playing surface to ply their trade.

 

Given the type of football served up of late, is the best possible playing surface a priority?

 

It should be as it is played on by not only the first team but the womens team and under 23's etc. OK maybe as it is June and there are some weeks before the football begins again, the pitch has some time to recover.
