Would you rather Ballotelli be out for a cup game than a league game though? I suppose the broader question might be would you be happy to go out of the cup next round (not saying you will) if it meant continuing your run in the league?
Yep, I agree we warranted at least a tight win, but all else equal, on a bad day (for City/Hart) it could have ended in 4 conceded. On a bad day for us though, City might have snatched one too. Still, 1 point gained for City, 2 lost for Liverpool. But our test will be v. the "smaller" clubs, and our own consistency. On balance, I'm just delighted how ordinary we made City look.
I wasn't talking in terms of domination or chances created, I was referring to the Carroll chance and a couple of others after Mario was sent off. Had one of them gone in it would have been likely that you wouldn't pull one back. What I was saying was, we could have easily stolen the games as much as you could have with one of our mistakes.
Zingy. If you loook at the early pages of this thread, you'll see I posted that Balotelli was naiked on for a sending-off
When I saw that he was starting on the bench I thought "ah well, that's £2 down the drain". I don't know how he does it, he's worse than Rooney when frustrated. Although my opinion of him has completely changed from last season, I think he is a cracking character in todays game...it's like watching a naughty puppy. The relationship between him and Mancini is a comedy in itself too.
I've just looked and I can't have posted it on this thread. It is somewhere on here though My 3 predictions for this weekend were that the mance would draw with the toon 1 - 1, and that we'd beat citeh 2 - 1 with Balotelli getting sent off. I'd have been well pissed off although the win would have helped me get over it.
Remind me of the top class saves again, he made good saves, mainly the header, though lets face it, I was a keeper and if you save those they look good, but if it went in he'd have been slated, got a full hand to it, didn't have to stretch even, it's what he's there for. Save from adam, adam put his shot right to the keepers feet, all, ALL hart could do was lamely stick out a foot because he was caught out, he was easily fooled by adam and just Just got away with it. If adam had the sense to no0t kick it AT the keeper it was 2 0. Good saves, not top class by a stretch Reina's sweeper play was WORLD class Without Lucas AND Reina, we might.. nay would have gone more than 1 down in the first half
