    Super proud of Russ and the lads today, and of the fans who made the journey. I was at SMS when we last got promoted, and was at Wembley for the league cup final - it must feel magical to have been there today.

    I hope Southampton fans managed to avoid confrontations with the Leeds miob. Makes Pompey fans look genteel in comparison.

    Remember us getting promoted with Southampton when I was in primary school back in 1978.
    We played eachother on the last day of the season and drew 0-0.
    Always had a soft spot for you lot since then and we've had some great battles over the years so am really pleased you won and am looking forward to seeing our matches against you.
