Match Day Thread Dirty Leeds vs Alehouse Brawlers Championship Playoff Final Sunday 26th May 2024, 3pm

Depends on the perspective, whenever I have been in the lower tier the stadium seems much tighter than you would expect, but if you are in the top tier it seems massive.

 

I hope the NWs playing today don't cut the pitch up.

 

I’m hoping that the person in block 142 looks after my seat.

 

I see the away side are winning again, Is that 3 Wembley appearances and 3 away wins...

This also happens to be the first game where the team whose fans are in the west end of Wembley are losing...

 

So does Martin stick with the team against West Brom or go back to the team that beat Leeds.

 

I can’t remember which was which? He played stephens at LB against Leeds? With manning pushed up?

 

I went to the Cov v United semi final a few weeks back. There was one very half hearted check (could have easily walked past them and they barely glanced at the ticket) before actually scanning at the turnstiles.

After turnstiles you have a quick bag search and that is it.

 

What's your message to the supporters?

RM: Whether it goes the way you want straight away or if you have to, stick with it. To be fair, they've been brilliant this season with such a change in playing style and with being back in the championship.

There has been a big turnover of players, a new manager and new staff. They've been amazing and on that Friday they made such a difference against West Brom. Honestly, it was incredible to be involved in.

They have to go one more time in the same way the players do in the same way that we do. They do make a difference and the players will feel their energy for sure. It's a final at Wembley there may be times when we have to suffer a little bit as a team.

We're going to need them more than ever. I hope there will be some really beautiful spectacular moments for them as well. My son said to me, 'Dad, I'm going to cry either way aren't I? If we win I'm going to cry and if we lose I'm going to cry.'

I said yeah, I'll be with you don't worry about it. The supporters will feel it all that's why you support your team and you love your club. I don't need to send them a message but I'm grateful for how they've been for us this season. I'm convinced they'll do the same again.

 

If Che is fit enough to start, then he comes back in for me (sorry Brooks).

It's the choice between Fraser or Manning which I'm struggling with.

I also made the mistake of having a couple of beers this evening despite the 6am start. My British drinking logic was that it'll help me get to sleep at a reasonable time.

Buzzing for tomorrow. Could be an incredible and memorable day. I'm determined to enjoy it regardless of what happens on the pitch.

I probably won’t be back on here until around midday tomorrow so just want to wish everyone, who is going to the game, a safe journey and no matter what the result is you can walk out of Wembley knowing that the team gave their all.
