I've been having a difficult time so have missed the latest posts, I'll catch up later.

In the meantime I just had to post this.

I'm not a big fan of the various versions of 'My Way' but have always loved this. So when they put it on this advert it fit perfectly, wonderfully uplifting ...

... I can just imagine the advertising team going to the client and saying,

"We have a great idea for your next campaign ... a weird looking delivery bloke, from the brewery, is riding a beer barrel through the backstreets of Seville for a local bar. On his was he's eyeing up the girls, having a bit of a dance and pinching food off someone's plate at a café."

'Yeah that sounds great, get it sorted'

Classic. One of me dads favorite tunes, love it.

 

They had some great tunes and arrangements ...

... never dawned on me that it was often two blokes singing about one girl.

I see their music is being used in yet another advert, the test of durability imo.

 

Not a huge fan of the band, but this tune is very good.

I never paid this any attention and just thought it was a children's nonsense song.

It was only last year I realised how profound it is and what it means.

The Hobo is a ghost who's 'come back' to give his old comrades some hope about a land where they can be happy.

But he's not promising untold wealth and riches, just a few little comforts and some cheer ...

... very moving.
