I’ve just realised there are entry times. Mines 14:00-14:30.

What time is everyone heading off? Thinking about leaving at 11.

You aren't bound by those entry times.

Good, as I want to arrive about 15mins before kick off so I can soak up the pub atmosphere

I would expect there to be several layers of security - stewards checking that people have a valid ticket, long before they actually need to put it into any turnstile, body searches, and airport-style scanners for any bags. So getting in may be a slow process. Don't turn up ten minutes before kick off and expect to stroll in to the ground, as you may miss the start, and at least one of Saints' three goals.

I am more concerned about how this old git gets there than the result.

I was a bit conflicted in that final - as a neutral you always end up 'siding' with one team and, as a winger myself, I loved the way that that United team played ...but you had Peter Rodriguez in your side and he was in the Leicester City team that I first started watching as a 10 year old boy when my father got us season tickets for the 1969/70 season - we only managed to get them due to some becoming available after our relegation the season before and also having lost the '69 cup final to Man City... so, needless to say, still love the pic with him lifting / carrying the trophy...

<laugh>... out of interest have you ever heard Bryan Adams talking about the background to the song? ... apparently it had little to do with the year ...

The summer of '69 was when the 7 year old me and the rest of my clan first rocked up in Southampton from Teignmouth, South Devon.

I can genuinely say, hand on heart, that I didn’t even know if it was Friday or Saturday today. Nothing to do with drink either just the life of a retiree that doesn’t watch much telly and fills the day with walks, swimming and baking.
I baked, for the first time, some Parmesan biscuits on the day of the WBA semi final last Friday, and both the biscuits and the game were a massive success, so I will be making them again tomorrow morning.

Jeez, really want us to win this game tomorrow. Not just to get back to the premier league, but to shut up the media **** fest over Leeds this week. Listening to most, we haven’t got a chance which I hope will play into our favour and really build up the pressure in Leeds players. Listening to their in club channel as well, they’re all predicting a fairly easy win. Hope their players watch that and glad we’ve been pretty quiet as a club this week leaving the manager and players just to concentrate on the game.

Had to flog my ticket in the end, now feeling quite ambivalent about the whole thing, tomorrow just feels like any regular day now.

For the clubs sake we need to do the business tomorrow, but I won't be devastated by another season in the Championship (feel we will need to do it next season to avoid a proper slide though).

That said getting one over the Leeds fans would definitely be a sweetener as Brixham says, definitely up with Newcastle and Everton fans in the unearned arrogance stakes. Saints fans have had a better mentality going into this game and hopefully that lifts some of the pressure for the team, whereas Leeds fans are piling it on theirs.

They do remember that we have beaten them twice this season right and fairly comfortably both times? Doesn't guarantee anything, but think they should be winding their necks in a bit or the hubris will come back to bite them.

Can’t see it. If it’s close score wise I think it will be high scoring, like 3-2. But as I said I think one team will win comfortably, probably Leeds. Plus I’m going and I haven’t seen us win live in a decade

Maybe it’s just me but whenever I watch a game from Wembley my mind tells me that the playing surface is huge, yet a quick check on t’internet tells me that it’s 105m x 68m, which is the same as SMS and Elland Road. :emoticon-0126-nerd:
