Sadly we probably have weeks more of this old Cobblers to put up with.

We will likely have a new Government before anything concrete happens with a significant transfer to CAFC.
And in the meantime all we will get is a whole load of supposed ITK posturing and willy waggling on fans' forums.

Any deal done for a decent player before 4th July will be good business

But I'll admit I'm still sceptical.
I accept NJ wants to do this Summer the right way, but I fear he won't be allowed to.

 

Could you define ‘soon’ and any knowledge about the quality of these possible signings ?

Are they likely to be three more Coventrys, Lua Luas and Gillespheys or Mays, Kermorgants and Stephens’.

The man posting this rumour is the media person for the Ladies at Luton. We are also interested in Edwards Dunfermline left back, Keeper I have also posted on here. How can I possibly say if/when they will sign for us. Be sensible. This is a rumours thread. Haven’t we been down this road with you Uber on my old Forum.
I get the feeling that Elf’s doesn’t want me on here.
So I will grant him his wish. I will not be posting until we sign somebody.

I was a good supporter of your forum and I thought that you should have kept it going. It was doing well. I’m not sure what you mean when you say we’ve been down this road before. What road ?

And I haven’t seen anything to suggest that @Elfsborg från Borås doesn't want you on here. What have I missed ?

As to my question - you used the word ‘soon’ so I presumed you had some sort of indication of timeline. Obviously not a date or anything like that but ‘soon’ must have something behind it and I was just asking if you could give an indication of what that meant.

Thanks for clarifying who the information has come from. Personally if that is the source I shan’t be believing it at this stage, but others may wish to do so. In any case, as you said, it’s a rumours thread so if it doesn’t turn out to be correct then no problem.

I do recall echoes of this kind of friction on 'transfer rumours' threads - on both of the Charlton fans' forums @Dick Plumb1 created.
Possibly on ITTV threads of a similar type as well if we go back further.

No disrespect intended, but anybody who posts some information about a possible transfer must expect other members to ask questions about it. That doesn't mean the question askers are looking to pick holes or discredit the rumour. They are simply and naturally curious.

I think there is some sensitivity being shown here, to issues that may have cropped up between individual posters during previous transfer windows.
It's not my job to mediate, but all I will say is let's try not to let past differences colour our perceptions of the motives of other posters.

We've all rubbed each other up the wrong way from time to time in the past. Would it not be best if that was left as water under the bridge?
Rumour providers and rumour seekers, let's interact in good faith if we can.
After all, I think we all agree there are no wums on this forum or hostile actors
Just different personalities with different posting styles, but a common love for CAFC.

I’m going to predict how a certain poster will respond to us signing Luke Berry.

99% of forum posters will say “good signing” or something similar, but not this fella.

“The SMT and Dr Will need to be aligned in landing targets to execute a top 6 finish next season. Improving our Xg will be vital to this. Rather than commenting on individual signings, perhaps we should watch the first ten games before forming an opinion ? Let’s see where we are on 30 September”.
